Used the PRICELINE link! I have been working on booking this hotel stay for a couple weeks. I couldn't get an offer to stick. Finally was accepted at $91 per night for three nights. Room Fee -$273 Taxes & Fees - $50.52 Total Charge - $323.52 I am still working on a hotel for the night of 7/25, Westin did not offer an extension with this reservation thru Priceline. I might have to call them directly on this one.

I was rejected again at $95 with today's bonus $5 per day bid ($100 total). I tried this for Friday thru Wednesday. And then one day back until I reached Monday with no success. I guess I'll sit back and try again soon.

I would prefer to not switch hotels during the middle of the trip. As a last resort I would consider doing so. I could eliminate the last day if it might help.

I would like to keep it at or under $95 per night.

I am not familiar with bidding in Philadelphia, but consistenly see Lowes, Le Meredian, or the Westin hitting in the $74-$90 range. I would like a little help with bidding here. Am I bidding too early for a July trip? I am up to $85 and have yet to even receive a counteroffer. Should I be patient and wait a little longer. I don't see anything major on the calendar to conflict with my dates. Any advice would be appreciated.

We are thinking of taking the Amtrak into Chicago this summer for a weekend instead of driving to make the trip more relaxing. Once we get there we might need a car to get to a wedding we are attending Friday night and then over to the Horse Track on Saturday. Haven't bid for a car in Chicago before, there are three location choices. I know MDW is about 10 miles from the train station. I am just wondering where the car rental locations downtown are located. Are they easily accessible, we may choose to just cab it in the end, but we are exploring our options.

I have stayed here a couple time since and really like this property for the cost. I would recommend it to anyone!

Something going on in Southfield this week. Couldn't get my normal rates at the Extended StayAmerica or the Westin. Found a middle price room at 2.5* Hawhorne Suites for $32. I thought I better report this since I haven't seen this hotel pop up before.

There are some rooms that have suffered some use over the years, probably need an update (maybe 25% of them). I would say that over the past two years they have been slowly updating rooms one by one. So if you dont get a good one I just head back down to the front desk. Never had an issue with them not giving me another room.

This hotel can be consistently had for $24 a night. It's nothing fancy, but its clean, got a kitchen, and has easy access from lodge freeway (M-10). I stay here on business on a consistent basis because of the value. I have had to ask a few times to switch rooms, but the extra work doesn't bother me because of the savings.
