  1. Don't forget this is Nascar weekend, so it will be busy.
  2. Casino, Fitness, Pools, Restaurant, Business Center, Golf, Spa Booked this room for our sons for Nascar weekend using the HOTWIRE link from this board.
  3. Casino, Fitness, Pools, Restaurant, Business Center, Golf, Spa Booked 2 rooms for DH and his friend using the HOTWIRE link from this board. This is Nascar weekend, so I was happy to get this rate. Oops, if someone could edit the title it was actually 3/3/11-3/7/11.
  4. Got this on the first bid, so I guess I should have started lower. It is still a good deal. We have stayed there before for early morning flights and it is an OK hotel. Used the PRICELINE link from this board.
  5. Used the HOTWIRE link from the board. Amenities: Resort Beachfront Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Children's Activity Program Oddly enough I was getting a rate of $129.00 from home, but decided to check from work and got $119.00 so decided to pull the trigger. I am very happy with this hotel. Just need one night at the end of our trip before an early morning flight.
  6. Used the PRICELINE link from this board. Thanks! Started bidding at $60, got a counter-offer for $75. Bid $65, then $68 and was successful. Decent hotel for a quick stay before an early flight the next morning.
  7. Used the PRICELINE link from this board to get the hotel I was aiming for.
  8. This was a surprise. I was actually bidding on a 4* and got upgraded to a 5* and won this hotel on the first bid. Could have probably started lower. This is for Nascar weekend, so Vegas is busy. Lowest price on the Trump website is $159. Used the PRICELINE link from this board.
  9. This is a new hotel for the board. Used the PRICELINE link from this board. I was having trouble getting a last minute 3* airport hotel for my parents, so decided to try for a 2 1/2*. Got a counter-offer on my first bid of $68, so tried $72 and got accepted. The website looks nice, so I'll have to let you know after they stay there how it was. I think it is brand new. Breakfast is included.
  10. Got the hotel I was aiming for, I think it is the only 3.5* in the DT zone. I am happy with this bid as the rate for that night is $179. It is a very nice hotel. They do charge quite a bit for parking, but the $116 savings takes the sting out of it. :) Used the PRICELINE link from this board.
  11. Calgary Airport (YYC) 2120 16th Avenue Ne Calgary, Alberta T2E 1L4 Used the PRICELINE link from this board.
  12. I was surprised that I got this on the second bid as I had bid up to $50 a couple of days ago. This is for a golf trip for DH and his buddy. It sure gets mixed reviews, but it should be good enough for their purposes. Used the PRICELINE link from the board.
  13. Got it on the first bid. :) Not necessarily a good thing. Should have started a little lower, I guess. DH & DS are going to The Eagles concert, and there is an LRT station near by, so it should work out well for them. Used the PRICELINE link from this board.
  14. The Trump does not have a casino, so that is not a possiblity for what you are seeing. Just for kicks I ran your dates and there is a 2.5* for $14. I have never seen anything that low on Hotwire before! :)
  15. Used the PRICELINE link from the board. Got a counteroffer $64 on my first bid of $50. Added The City, bid $52. Added Mayfair $53. New bid, added Finsbury $54. Accepted. These zones all have 4* hotels, but usually are more expensive, and I would have been OK staying in any one of them, which is why I bid this way.
  16. I have been watching hotels in London. I checked the prices yesterday morning at home, then again yesterday afternoon at work. I noticed one I had been monitoring ($93 at home) had gone down $4 at work (to $89), so when I got home I immediately checked it again, still $93. So I cleared my cookies and it went down to $89. Is this something that normally happens that I was unaware of, because if so then I am going to be more dilligent about checking prices at work and clearing cookies. It's not much, but why pay $20 (for 5 days) more to Hotwire than I have to?
  17. Color me puzzled??? The OP did not mention the TA ratings. In any case, when I ran a search for those dates I see a 4.5* for $159 with a 3* TA rating and over 200 reviews, which is a match for the Le Meridien Piccadilly. Also checked the vacation packages, and it came up with Le Meridien Piccadilly with the same amenities.
  18. Just checked the vacation packages, and it would seem you may have a match for the 4* Holiday Inn Mayfair - London. Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access. Trip Advisor rating of 3.5* and 169 reviews. Please help support the board by using the HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
  19. The Express By Holiday Inn London - Earl's Court is coming up as 2 1/2* now on the vacation packages, with Breakfast and High Speed Internet as the amenities, so that would be my guess. Please use the HOTWIRE link from this board to start your purchase, if you decide to go with HOTWIRE.
  20. Amenities: Resort Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services This is for a Friday/Saturday stay on Nascar weekend so we are very happy with the price. Used the HOTWIRE link from this board.
  21. Interesting ... This hotel has been upgraded to 3 1/2*. I was actually bidding on 3*, and got upgraded. I am very happy with this bid, hotel prices in New York are sky-high! I have been trying to get something for a few days. Started at $190 today, got a counter-offer of +25, and got accepted at $200. I used the PRICELINE link to start my bid.
  22. I saw a good pre-payment rate of $231.00 on Orbitz for the Crowne Plaza for some dates I was looking at in November, so you might want to check that out. If you do, please click through the link on the Support Page to make your purchase. :)
  23. I started my bid using the PRICELINE link from this board. Began at $70 and worked my way up. The pre-paid rate on their website is $229 for that night, so I think I got a good deal. It looks like a lovely hotel.
