  1. Thanks all - we'd love the Century Plaza actually since the conference we're heading out for (Business for Social Responsibility) is at the Plaza (I love the fact that all the "good corporate citizen" conferences are always at super-luxe hotels ... hmmm). And I'll consult the colleagues on the distance they'd be happy with - I like to be nearby when the even starts at 7am (!!!) and goes until 8pm ... but they may be open to being taxi distance. I'll let you all know what we end up with ... and I'll book us through the SavingsBarn link - anything we can do to help the cause!
  2. Trying to figure out which hotel this might be ... dates 11/10-16 - $73 per night - I assume the 41/2* at $108 is the Park Hyatt still. I'm booking for several coworkers and I'm hoping we'll be close enough to our meeting site that we can walk... Thanks for any info folks have! ...Christina
  3. The Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers at 811 Seventh Ave. Listed as Customer Favorite, restaurant, fitness center, high speed internet, business center Booked via Hotwire at $112 per night for night of 8/6/03
  4. Booked two different stays - one for colleague in late May, then two rooms for myself and colleague in mid-June 4.5* Kennedy Center - GWU was the Watergate - Swissotel Washington amenities: Restaurant, Spa, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center Late May rate was $71 per night for 2 nights (weekday) Mid-June rate was $99 per night for 2 nights (weekday) Astonishing rooms but a bit sloppy on the service and lots of billing confusion for incidentals (we had a total of one soda from a mini-bar and one room service charge yet the bills for both rooms were confused several times over these - go figure!) Also some trouble in one room with phone service and room service took over 1 hour for a simple cold plate for a late night snack .... still, amazingly large rooms with separate dressing room/closet. New to this board - happy to find it and I'll definitely be back to check for future stays and also to report on wins. Now I just have to learn the tricks for Priceline!
  5. Just discovered your site so this is a bit old - booked and stayed in mid March but: Hotwire - 4* San Antonio - NW San Antonio-Medical Center was the Omni San Antonio amenities - Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center two nights at $71 per night This was the first time I used Hotwire and I was very pleased - hotel is not near downtown, but was only a few minutes drive from the Westin hotel where I was attending a conference (they were paying $230/night). Hotel is just off highway, in strip mall land but the hotel itself was lovely, service exceptional, and when I called ahead with my Omni member card, they were friendly, helpful and gave me an amazing corner room high up with a view plus all the frequent stay amenities. I've been checking Hotwire ever since for my business travel - good for our company budget but I still get to stay in nice places. Glad this board exists - thanks!
