I must post this bid... I used the PRICELINE link ealier to book my flights, and then Priceline sent me a email coupon that it said Priceline will add $5 per room per night up to 10 nights ($50 total) to my offer. Ok, so I used the coupon and started to bid for my chicago area hotels.. I'm searching for a 4 star hotel around Chicago downtown Tried 85 (+5) for North Michigan Ave - River North Area ==> rejected 90 (+5) for North Michigan Ave - River North Area, Midway Airport Area (MDW) ==> rejected 95 (+5) for North Michigan Ave - River North Area, Midway Airport Area (MDW), Greater Chicago ==> rejected 100(+5) for North Michigan Ave - River North Area, Midway Airport Area (MDW), Greater Chicago, Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area ==> rejected 105(+5) for above areas + Skokie - Niles - Evanston ==> rejected 110(+5) for above areas + Hyde Park ==> rejected Finally 115(+5) for above areas + Lincoln Park ==> Deal accepted, and It's Hotel Felix Chicago At first, I checked other travel agency websites such as booking.com, Expedia..etc I found the lowest retail price for this hotel at the time period is about 147~148/night So I thought I saved about 30 USD/night But when I checked the official website of Hotel Felix Chicago for the rates for 08/11/2013 to 08/14/2013 the rate is 112/night if you purchase in advance... Wow...suddenly I felt I was cheated by Priceline then I immediately called Priceline asking them to match the price, which is 112USD/night plus a 25 dollar refund They checked the hotel website I gave them and in just a moment , they sent me emails telling me that they had matched the price for me and also giving me 25 dollars refund Well...What can I say I also checked the tripadvisor website to see how people feel about this hotel..and the common thoughts for it is that the room is so tiny Sigh... Really feel unhappy and unsatisfied to have got this bid But that's how Priceline works, right ? Guess I should learn to accept the fact :(
