I've become more of a fan of HOTWIRE over the last year or so vs. PRICELINE. Hotwire hot Deal give you the price up front and they give you the Hotwire "thumb" review for the hotel. I seemingly can trust a hotel with a 90-95% positive "thumb" review, whereas with Priceline I can't find a way to distinguish between a hotel with a 3* or 4* amenity rating but is a dump vs. a 3* or 4* new property or newly remodeled. In short, I've not found a check-and-balance on PRICELINE to link quality with amenities... One interesting feature of HOTWIRE hot Deals is that when you click on "See Details" of the hotel it appears to be somehow integrated with TripAdvisor - I'm looking at a 4.5* hotel in Times Square Theater District with a 95% thumbs up, a pretty generic set of amenities (Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible for the blind), and a 4* TripAdvisor rating for 4/19/13-4/21/13 for $308/night. My question is: In addition to looking at (and trying to make a match with) the list of hotels for Times Square Theater District with 4.5* on your BetterBidding.com site, can I rely on the TripAdvisor rating of 4* to further try to pinpoint which hotel it could be? Thanks, Joe
