  1. The priceline retail product is different from the name your own price section. It shouldn't be used to identify possible hotels for the name your own price section. Some hotels participate in one and not the other. That being said, the two 4* hotels currently in Revere-Logan are the Hilton and the Hyatt. This could change as hotels could be upgraded/downgraded/constructed in any particular area. You will only receive a hotel within the mapped area. If you'd like to give it a try, read the Priceline rebidding thread to help identify the 3 free rebid areas for Boston. Once you've identified them in the name your own price section, we'll provide you with bidding advice.
  2. Is it the 3* Northampton showing the following amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Tennis Nearby, Business Center It hasn't been reported yet, but it might be the Clarion Hotel. Also in the area is the Country Inn & Suites Holyoke and the Best Western Valley Inn. When you're in NoHo, you should give Herrell's Ice Cream a visit.
  3. Well the following Priceline areas may meet your price limit and could possibly include free parking: 2-2.5* Brighton-Brookline 2.5* Medford-Somerville These areas may meet your price limit but probably charge for parking and likely aren't close to a subway but may offer a shuttle: 3* Revere-Logan 3* Cambridge
  4. This is for 2 nights? What is your budget?
  5. Since you've only selected one area, your bidding opportunities are limited: Select 4* Copley... Bid $80, if rejected add rebid zone 1... Bid $90, if rejected add rebid zone 2... Bid $100, if rejected close browser and reaccess priceline however you did previously. Select 4* Copley and rebid zone 3... Bid $110, if rejected add rebid zone 1... Bid $120, if rejected add rebid zone 2... Bid $130.
  6. Welcome. In order to understand how to bid on priceline, you will need to learn how to find your priceline rebid areas. Once you find the 3 areas in Boston that lack 4* hotels, please post their names and we'll provide you with bidding advice. Also, doing a quick search, hotel rates seem to be high for your dates and a few hotels aren't available.
  7. I'm assuming the zone you want is Downtown, so give the following a try: Select 3* Downtown Boston Bid $45, if rejected add rebid area 1... Bid $50, if rejected add rebid area 2... Bid $55, if rejected add rebid area 3... Bid $60 Let us know if this works.
  8. *Note - This is for the name your own price section. Do NOT use the screen showing you a chart of different areas and prices
  9. Boston has 3 areas that do not have 3* hotels. Go to Priceline, enter the city and dates, and then click on each area (one at a time) to see what star levels are offered. Three of them do not offer 3* and 4* hotels. These areas are your rebid areas. Find these three and list them here so I know you found the correct ones. If you need more help, try this thread. If you have questions, feel free to ask. Once you've identified these areas, I'll provide you with bidding advice.
  10. Welcome, Have you looked through our Hotwire hotel list? It looks like a match for the Holiday Inn Select. You can probably win this (or another hotel) for less on Priceline. If you'd like to try, let us know and we'll advise you accordingly.
  11. Previous bid mid-$80s, accepted at $90. Lowest direct rate is $264/night. Hilton Boston Financial District Downtown Boston - Charlestown 89 Broad Street Subtotal: $180.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $32.06 Total Charges: $212.06
  12. Well Hotwire has a 3* Albany Airport for $120 with the following amenities: Airport Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Ctr, Internet, Business Ctr If you want to try to get a lower price by bidding on your hotel stay, you could try Priceline. As with Hotwire, you are selecting a hotel within a particular star level, and cannot bid for a specific hotel.
  13. Please note the first paragraph in the Hotwire list: If you'd like assistance, please post your dates and the hotel(s) that you'd like identified and we'll try to help you.
  14. Welcome! First, you will want to read: Don't bid higher for a specific hotel Second, what are your dates? Third, how much are you looking to spend?
  15. With Priceline, you can receive any hotel within the area and star level selected. Therefore, you could receive the Hyatt Harborside or the Hilton Boston Logan. Both locations have low rates, so you could likely receive either. Personally, I'd give it a try, as the savings could be substantial. You also should remember that a city view is not guaranteed when booking the Hyatt through PL or HW, so if that is your main reason for staing there, you may want to consider booking it directly for a room with a view. First, you will need to find Boston's 3 free rebid areas for the 4-star level. To learn how to find them, read this thread. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Select 4* Revere-Logan... Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $55, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. Select 4* Revere-Logan and add re-bid zone2... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. Select 4* Revere-Logan and add re-bid zone3... Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $75, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. Select 4* Revere-Logan and add re-bid zone2 and 3... Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $85.
  16. Welcome! This does appear to be the Hyatt Harborside. If you are interested, you could try to win this location on Priceline for somewhere in the ballpark of $30-50 less. Let us know if you'd like to try Priceline and we'll provide you with bidding advice. As for the waterview, if they have rooms available it shouldn't be a problem. Depending on the staff, they may offer you one or you could always kindly request one.
  17. I would not encourage using the services of a ticket scalper/broker. If you are looking to pay for 'premium' seats, most theaters offer premium tickets for seats close to the front. Your kids would enjoy being close to the action, and your money would go directly to support the actors & theater. You should check with the theater's box office to see if any tickets are left for your travel dates. Doing a quick search for the Lion King, tickets are still available for many weekday shows. Lion King and Tarzan
  18. Welcome! To start, parking in Boston isn't cheap. If you want to park at your hotel, you should expect to pay $25-35/day. For priceline, you will want to learn how to find the rebid areas. There are 3 areas that do not have 3* or 4* hotels. Use the advice in that thread to locate these areas. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Select 4* Downtown... Bid $65, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $70, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $75, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $80, if unsuccessful close browser and re-access priceline as you did before Select 4* Copley... Bid $65, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $70, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $75, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $80, if unsuccessful close browser and re-access priceline as you did before Select 4* Downtown and Copley... Bid $85, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $90, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $95, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $100, if unsuccessful close browser and re-access priceline as you did before If this doesn't work, let us know and we'll suggest how to bid the 3* level.
  19. If you had followed my suggestion, you could have been downtown for $20 less. *Note to thereuare - please merge this thread.
  20. Welcome! We need to know what dates you are looking at and what amenities are shown. You can also see if it matches anything on our Hotwire hotel list.
