Trying to price/book a NYOP car rental for Kona and only offer is express deals. Is PL doing away w/NYOP for some markets? I started searching about 2 months ago and not finding NYOP to be an option. Says that "NYOP is not available for the itinerary you selected." Thx, Casey

Same issues with car rental in KOA for May 2018.

Happy to have a winning bid to post. Did extensive research on prices and Discount Hawaii Car rental and Costco were giving me about $500 for the trip. Best prices were on mid sized SUVs, of all things. Started w/$13/day and denied, so went to $15/day. No go. Changed to compact (which is all we need) and stayed at $15 and won for a total of $331, with Hertz. In that Hotwire reportedly was $304 for compact, I may have slightly overpaid (didn't want to end up w/Thrifty if went Hotwire). In that I have 3 weeks, likely should have used some of that time and tried even lower for a compact, but don't know that it would be worth the additional time. This is $162 less than my back up reservation via Costco. Thanks for all your hard work!

Started at $55 and increased to $80 in $5 increments. At $70, got the counter for $90 offer. I proceeded on and ended up at $80. This is the LOWEST price on this hotel that I have seen since 1/2009. They were booking for $119 those nights, on their website. I was suprised to get this place, and expected the Mills house, as it has gone for $60 before. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $80.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $240.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $44.16 (USD) Total Room Cost: $284.16 (USD) As in all large cities, parking is likely $12-15/night.
