  1. Be warned - we found this place to be a mess, and it gets some pretty horrible reviews on TripAdvisor. In this case, an upgrade may not really be an upgrade.
  2. Need help with this one. Was thinking Residence Inn till I saw restaurant. Free breakfast knocks out the Courtyard. Cypress 3 Stars Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Pets Allowed Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center Thanks.
  3. Yes, I know where the inbox is. I have one message from 2007 and one from 2010. Neither seems to require a response, so I still don't get why you're implying that I'm unresponsive.
  4. Not sure I understand what you're asking. What previous messages? BTW, I figured out this hotel is most likely the Crowne Plaza LHR.
  5. Anyone have an idea of which 4-star hotel in the Heathrow zone is the 95% Recommended one? Looks like the Sheraton Skyline is less than 95%. How about the Hilton? Thanks.

  7. With NMA 4*, you have 32 bidding opportunities (AKA permutations) per 24 hours, so you can bid to your heart's content up until your date of stay.
  8. Started at $79. Using free re-bids at $1 increments, was accepted at $91. Was hoping for this property, so I'm very happy.
  9. Rejected at $59 / accepted at $69 next day (no free rebids, and I was down to the wire). Rate on Starwood site is $169. I'm very happy with this one. 10. Any more info on this "American Plan?" I am also considering selecting the hotel mentioned in this thread for a mid-February stay.
  11. Just sharing my experience when trying for Kauai via Priceline. Seemed appropriate to this thread. Hilton Kauai Beach Resort
  12. We ended up having to abandon Priceline for Kauai and booked the newly converted Hilton for $159 directly (for Thanksgiving week).
  13. I refuse to bid Waikiki North or South anymore due to the Outrigger "resorts." Just can't risk it.
  14. This throws a major wrench in my trip planning. No way I can bid this zone for fear of getting the Outrigger. Priceline has lost my business on this one.
  15. Whew. I was getting worried. Availability is tight on the 12th. I had been rejected up to $130 multiple times over the last couple of weeks for MTE, MTW, and CPS. Used 4 bid opportunities before hitting at $130. $120 rejected (counter-offer of + $22), $122 rejected, $125 rejected, $130 accepted. Your Offer Price: $130.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $260.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $52.23 Total Charges: $312.23 Grand Hyatt New York Check-In Date: Friday, August 11, 2006 Check-Out Date: Sunday, August 13, 2006 Midtown East 109 East 42nd Street Park Avenue And Grand Central Station New York, New York 10017
  16. Was extremely happy with my experience at the InterContinental Buckhead this past weekend (3/3/06-3/5/06 on a winning bid of $66). The hotel common areas and rooms are exceptional, and the Buckhead location can't be beat. We arrived late Friday evening. The hotel was easy to find (up Lenox Rd from I-85, left on Peachtree, hotel on left). Buckhead traffic can be harrowing, but the InterContinental is located at a traffic light, so we had no problems at all accessing the property. The external signs for the garage were not lit on the first night, but we figured out which lane to take. Self parking is located on levels B or C. You enter on A and go down from there. We found plenty of spots, especially on C. The elevators take you directly from the garage to just off the lobby, which is stunning, as is the restaurant. The check-in agent could not have been any nicer or more professional--definitely no Priceline attitude. We had a corner king on the fifth floor with views of the courtyard, pool, and Midtown (in the distance). The room was very well equipped--doorbell, safe, iron, board, two robes, slippers, three phones, scale, huge soaking tub, separate shower, mini-bar, and more. The furnishings and bedding were top-notch and tasteful. Reminded me of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Turndown service with a chocolate is offered plus morning newspaper and 24-hour room service (had pasta and soup one evening, quite good). No vending in the hotel, but Target and Publix are both right up the street. Your room key is encoded to exit the garage, so it's not a hassle getting in and out. All-in-all, we were extremely happy with our stay, especially for what we paid. This was definitely a top-three Priceline experience for me.
  17. To OP: Do you know if the Atlanta Financial Center garage is open 24 hours? We were thinking about doing this, too. Thx.
  18. Due to the HUGE number of free rebids for 4* in Buckhead, I made multiple bids (increasing by $1 increments) before being accepted at $66. This is the place I wanted, so it makes it even better.
  19. As I bid at 12:30 AM and had to get up for a 5:00 AM drive to IAD, this was not possible!
  20. Had been rejected for a few weeks, so kept trying every 72 hours. Bumped it up a little around 12:30 am the morning of my departure. Rejected at $65, $70, and $75 before acceptance at $78 on last free re-bid. Was quite happy with the accomodations and staff at the Grand Hyatt...very comfy bed, excellent location, and friendly staff (no mention of Priceline and was offered choice of room type, smoking preference, floor, etc.). Grand Hyatt San Francisco Union Square East - Embarcadero 345 Stockton Street San Francisco, California 94108 415-398-1234 Check-In Date: Saturday, January 14, 2006 Check-Out Date: Monday, January 16, 2006 Your Offer Price: $78.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $156.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $30.96 Total Charges: $186.96
  21. No dice at $75 (went down to 2 1/2 - do not want Candlewood).
  22. For my purposes, I need something convenient to (or in) Manhattan but also convenient to EWR for a 6:10 AM flight on Monday morning. I would prefer the Hyatt JC, because I enjoyed my time there on a previous bid (during the $37 glory days).
  23. No Plan B. If I can't get something reasonable in JC or NYC (by reasonable, I mean around $100), I probably won't take this trip. Just wanted to do a one-nighter for a concert.
  24. I'm trying to get the Hyatt JC on 10/16, and it's running $126 on Hotwire. What would be a good price to offer on Priceline? I know the $37 days are long since gone. Thanks.
