Started bidding at $36, hoping to get a deal I saw posted a few months ago for the Marriott Executive Park but no luck. Increased bid by $2 for additional areas (without 3.5*), and eventually arrived at the same price as other bidders for this property. Also tried up to $55 for 3* hotels (and didn't succeed) in the suburbs of Pineville / Ballantyne and Matthews. I was advised that these areas are safer than living too close to downtown at night, and there is a higher risk of theft. Oh well, hopefully Executive Park is a decent area! It was accepted immediately when I added 3*, to my surprise, especially after browsing bids for 3*'s in this area. Yay! Seems like a nice property in a good area, despite a few complaints on TripAdvisor, the vast majority of them seem more like personal nitpickings. Used the PRICELINE link to book the trip.
