Started at 50 went up by $5 increments to $60, but no joy. Tried $63 and that worked. $153 for two nights including fees and tax. And yes, I started out with the PRICELINE link here.

Started at 75, went up by $5 increments till I hit 90. With taxes and fees it was $111. And yes, I started here.

Bid $45, was told that if I bid $58 I could get a hotel. Added another area (only 4*s are in Downtown Providence), bid 50, which was rejected Added another area, bid 52, WON. Total Cost: $66 Renaissance Providence's location is perfect for what I want to do. I'm ecstatic! And, of course, I linked to PRICELINE through this site.

I needed a place to stay after a week's cruise. Bid $50 for French Quarter 4*--nothing. Added Downtown 4* at $50--nothing. Added Garden Quarter 4*, and went to $55--Bingo! I see it listed as a 3.5 star on the list, but Priceline says it's a 4*. I'm glad to have gotten it. (And, yes, I used the PRICELINE link here.)

I was looking for three rooms for the one night. Bid $50 and was rejected. Added Aquarium area and bid $53. Rejected. Added Quincy Market and bid $55. Accepted. I didn't need anything fancy, just one place where several out-of-town guests could stay together for a night.

Yesterday I put in a bid at $40/night, and Priceline came back with a counter offer at $55. Today I remembered that I had bonus bucks, and resubmitted the offer at $40. It was accepted.
