  1. 5* London (Mayfair-Soho) Marriott London Park Lane, $160 ... 22/10/11-26/10/11 Room Subtotal: US$640.00 Taxes & Fees: US$142.12 Total: US$782.12 or $195.53 per night.
  2. Thanks. This 5* hotel is not on the Hotwire list. I see the amenities as Fitness, Restaurant, Business center, Internet, Spa. I stayed here last year on Priceline and enjoyed it. Nice sized modern room, pool (very nice), good location with tube and bus stops outside, ps cheaper than hotel breakfast across in the park about 5 min walk.
  3. Used BetterBidding PRICELINE link. No counter offer on way up. $70 per night bid plus tax for total of $88.16. Going with HOTWIRE 4* for $71 plus tax for $92.62
  4. You are getting close. Also remember you are bidding on a 5* property. Just as a note I see the Athenaeum Athens InterContinental comes up a lot as a five star. I found it's location away from the city center and not directly on a subway or tram route a deterant. You might want to try bidding on a four star for a little less or the same money you have currently bid on the five star.
  5. Date got cut off on title Oct 30 - Nov 4, 2010 Tried zones 7 - London (Mayfair - Soho), 8 - London (Notting-Hill-Bayswater), 9 - London (Regents Park - Baker Street), 12 - London (Westminster) not 6 - London (Docklands) or 2 - London (Chelsea-Knightsbridge) in various combinations. Got a request to pay an additional $45 at about $235 for zone 7, funny it stayed at $45 even as my bid increased. Also took a 30 min break and started to get a $50 additional increase your bid message. Perhaps a different property. Still seems to pay not to go for those as I got a room for $25 a night less.
  6. I tried your lastminute.com link and got a top secret hotel in Venice. It's fairly easy to ID the hotels so I knew it was Ca' Pisani 4*. For Nov 4-6. 163.81 pounds or $257 a night double with breakfast vs an average of 234 pounds or $367 web price. Only thing I didn't like was the surcharge to use a major credit card to pay. I paide 6.50 pounds or so which added 3.25 pounds or $5.10 to each nights price above for 167.06 pounds or $262. It's a percentage so I'm assuming they are charging the % the credit card company is charging them. I've id'd a 5 star in London for $290 which is $420 on web. Will get it if priceline doesn't get me something for $250 or less
