  1. Thanks, yeah, I figured most of that out *after* I bid :( It was Summerlin and I got the JW Marriot resort. I thought about a rental car, but I want to be able to walk to the conference (on the strip) each day, not have to park, etc. It really sucks, but I guess I'm just out $350 :( Priceline won't take care of me. Why have a separate "resort" listing if it counts as a 4* or 5* hotel? --Kyle
  2. My bid was $75, 4/18-4/22, and I got the JW Marriot "Resort" when I'd just selected 4* and 5*. Thanks, --Kyle
  3. Sorry, my dates were 4/18 - 4/22. Thanks, --Kyle
  4. Hi All, I just wanted to suggest that caution be used when rebidding with zones that won't work for you - you may get a "resort" instead of a 4* or 5* hotel, even if a 4* or 5* hotel is not listed as available in that particular zone. I tried the rebid process in Las Vegas and got screwed big time. It gave me a resort in a different location when I only selected 4*/5* on the North Strip - even though there are no 4*/5* in the location they gave me... Be wary! Priceline would not refund my $350 no matter what I did, and I can't stay there. :( By the way, any suggestions on how to get Priceline to cancel / refund the hotel? I can't believe they won't after my explanation... :( I feel so crappy right now that I just lost $350! --Kyle

  6. Hi All, I got the Westin 4* in Vegas for $66, but the amenities looked like it would have been either the Mirage or Treasure Island. Might want to update the Hotwire hotels list amenities... They were listed as: Free Parking Casino Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom handicapped parking roll-in shower
  7. No great deals this weekend - a national conference is in town. Tried a lot of lower bids first on 3.5 and 3 star. Also Des Moines West, but it wasn't going through at $55 so I paid extra to be where I wanted to be... I bid from the PRICELINE link here. Think I might have done better if I waited until closer to the date? It's just over a month away... Thanks, --Kyle
  8. Hi All, I just got this hotel at $80 after trying $60 and $70 (using the PRICELINE links on this forum). I might have gotten for $5 less, but no big deal - harder to get a good rate in Orlando during the summer! It looks like the same hotel is $93 on HOTWIRE. I probably could have gotten a 4* for less at SeaWorld, but most of them have parking fees, some have resort fees, and some have bad timing on shuttles (I called a few and asked). Crowne stood out in that area! Take care, --Kyle
  9. Got it on the first try at $46, but I failed on the 4* at $46, $51, and $61. Thanks, --Kyle
