I don't like either of those choices. I was looking for either the Hampton Inn or the Holiday Inn Express closer to the mall/casino. Both of those are closer to the airport, but the zoning is crazy that way. Yes, that 2-star is 57/nt. Forgot about the Red Roof Inn on the other side of the highway. That would be it then. Let me do some more poking around and come back when I find something.

Both are in BWI South & West. 2.5 Star - 65/nt - Free parking, Free breakfast, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Internet access 3 Star - 81/nt - Free parking, Free breakfast, Free Internet, Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Internet access Also, there is a 2-star with the following amenities: Free parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Internet access. I'm pretty sure this is the Candlewood Suites. The Homewood Suites in this area also allows pets, but definitely not a 2-star hotel. The hotel list can be updated to reflect this. Thanks in advance.

Have stayed here at least 7 times in the last 6 months. In the Southport West area right off I-80 and in a few short years, will be booming better than Old Market. My pluses: great area not far from downtown, everything is new, great desk service, shuttle for close trips. My minuses: no bar (although its a short walk to the Embassy's bar next door), no breakfast, no room service, no refrigerator in the room. On the weekends the hotel is darn near vacant unless the College World Series is in town or there's an event at the La Vista Conference Center. Seems the connecting Embassy Suites gets much more business, but those loyal to Marriott will appreciate the superior service and upscale feel to this hotel. I've seen a little more business on the weekdays, but its not much. All in all, great hotel, but don't look for anything spectacular until the area is fully developed.
