  2. I started bidding for a full size probably 2 weeks ago for a trip next month, March 20th-24th. I started at less than $20 and have been bidding almost every day and I'm now up to $52 with no luck. Any ideas?
  3. Went ahead and booked it, and it turned out to be LaQuinta Inn & Suites Fort Worth Southwest. Looks to be well reviewed, so I'm pleased. Thanks!
  4. I'm looking to stay in the Fort Worth Southwest - Benbrook area on 1/27-1/28. There is a 2.5 star hotel available for $60, but there are no 2.5 star's listed on the BetterBidding PRICELINE EXPRESS deals. Based upon reviews, amenties, I'm guessing it's the.....okay just after submitting a bid on name your price, the express deal just went up to $87. Grr..... *Okay, I still had an old web page up that hadn't refreshed yet that still showed the $60 offer so I clicked on it. And it's still available, now at $59 and it says I'm saving 50%. Strange how all of this works. I'm holding off on booking until I get a good idea of which hotel this is.
  5. I tried many many times to bid a 4 or 4.5 star in Downtown. Started at $70 and went all the way up to $150 and kept getting rejected. That was getting to the territory I didn't want to spend over, so I booked a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 3.5 star hotel. I thought it would be the Embassy Suites but got the Sheraton. Still seems like a good deal as it is $159 direct on their website. Amenities: Pet friendly, indoor pool, gym, restaurant, handicap accessible
  6. Booked via the PRICELINE link in this forum. Started off a few days ago at $14 per day. Kept bidding with increases by $2 each time. After a rejected $22 bid yesterday, I bid $24 today and it was declined but was offered the same deal for $28 per day. I figured for $4 more per day, it was worth it to go ahead and book it so I can get it off my mind. Thanks for the value this forum provides!
  7. I wound up book the 4* Downtown Dallas for $98/nite and you were right, it was the Adolphus. Thanks for the help!
  8. Sorry I should've included that. Here are the amenities: 4* Rating Good 7/10 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities I'm starting to think it might be the Sheraton Dallas Hotel?
  9. I'm looking to book a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal (using this forums link). Its at $127 for a 4* hotel in downtown Dallas. According to the betterbidding.com hotel list for priceline express deals, the only 4* hotel for the Express deals is the NYLO South Side hotel which is what I'm wanting. I realize nothing is 100%, but is it somewhat safe to assume that this is the correct assumption? On a side note, I know these express deals must have some advanced algorithms to determine the price, but it started out at $107 and so I clicked "accept". Then the screen refreshed and said it was no longer available and the price had changed to $117 or so (the numbers might be off a dollar or two). So I shrugged and said, okay fine, and clicked accept again. Again, it said that deal was no longer offered and now it was $127. Frustrating.
  10. Should've started off lower I guess. First bid $15 and accepted. Total cost $78.36. Used the Priceline link from betterbidding.com.
  11. Ah well that makes a little more sense! I am actually going to the Masters practice round in Augusta, so I'm sure there is increased demand there as well. Thanks for the help and I'll come back and let you know what I find out.
  12. I used the PRICELINE link through this website, but I've had a tough time getting a successful bid. I need a car from the Atlanta airport, pickup around 10:30AM on 4/5 and return about 6:30 AM on 4/9. I've seen on this site and others that winning bids for fullsize or standard in ATL are as low as $13, with several around $15 and some around $18. I started my bidding about a week ago and I've gone all the way up to $20 for both full and standard. Any other strategies except just to keep going $1 higher each day?
