HOTWIRE just called and said they had to cancel this reservation. The hotel contacted them that they do not have any rooms available, and could not honor this reservation. Hotwire was not willing to help us find another 5 star hotel for our winning bid. Said it had to be cancelled. Anyone else ever run into this? I have the confirmation of the winning bid, now we have nothing! Think I might stick to PRICELINE from now on. Not to impressed with HOTWIRE right now.

Won Andaz Liverool Street, London on Hotwire. We were so excited!! I have been using Hotwire for a while now and we feel this is the best deal we have ever received from Hotwire. Looks like rooms here are over $450 per night. Thanks for your post. Yes that is the correct one. With the Risk Free it does help, but as you say you can only use it once so we would like to have some kind of idea which hotel it could be ... maybe we will decide to book something else, or keep watching the boards to see if the lists get updated as to what hotel this could be, as with Internet being the only amenity listed it makes us kind of nervous to book this property but it is listed at a 4 star.

We always book our vacations 1 year to 1.5 years ahead of time, as we usually take 8+ per year. For this vacation flights are already booked and paid for, 12 Night Cruise is already booked and paid for, so now working on pre-cruise and post cruise hotels. We like to get everything booked and paid for as soon as possible when deciding on a vacation. I usually use Hotwire or Priceline as soon as dates become available, or shortly there after if we are planning a vacation ... never had a problem in the past, and will keep booking this way as it works great for us.

We have airfare and other hotels already booked and looking at Singapore right now on other hotel sites a lot of Singapore hotels for this date are already sold out, and most are over $200++ a night.
