Not a lot of previous bids in this area to research on
Couldn't priceline because it seems the Appleton area, included a Holiday Inn Neenah, in the adjacent city of Neenah, which is a little too far for me to risk.
Hotwire showed this one and a 3.5* one at 95 HW rate, which I assume is the Radisson Paper Valley.
Got the La Quinta Inn and Suites based on price and the tripadvisor reviews seem to be ok.
Amenities are
Suite
Complimentary Breakfast
Business Center
Smoke Free Rooms
Fitness Center
Laundry Facilities (self-service)
Airport Shuttle
Pool(s)
High-Speed Internet Access
Never booked a NY hotel before, hopefully it's a good price.
I've seen lower priceline bids, but might be the weekend rates are higher.
Used a priceline $20 bonus cash too, which they subtract your overall amount if you stay 3 nights or more
Total w taxes/fees = $519.27
Checked the HW rates and everything for those dates were above $150 for the areas I wanted
Wanted to ensure a double bed so did Hotwire even though PL has lower prices
However, i did 2 adults, but after looking at some posts, to definitely get double beds, would mean doing triple or quad occupancy-oops
$76 Hotwire rate
w/ taxes/fees = $96
Amenities are
Airport Shuttle
Restaurant(s)
High-Speed Internet Access
Fitness Center
Business Center
Pool(s)
Laundry Facilities (self-service)
used the above HOTWIRE link
Good hotel...and very convenient. right next to the UC Irvine Med Center and The block at orange mall
Made a request for double beds, and they said okay
When we came in, they put us in a double bed room with a high floor facing the disneyland fireworks- cool.
Pretty good deal for me.. :)
At first, wasn't sure if Strip Vicinity South was the same as Strip South, but since it was a 5 star area, went ahead with it
Did 65, no go
Then 68, no go
PL offered a Raise to 83, rejected
then finally at 70, accepted
total with fees = 87
then add in the resort fee of ~20
so around 110 total seems good
Thought I might get the Vdara, since it seems to be what most of the wins seem to be reporting...but Aria is nice too
Guess tuesdays are cheap this time of the year, and possibly because I booked it a day ago before...closer to the date.
Did the priceline bonus cash too, so +$5/per night so technically 75 as the final priceline bid; def will try the $20 trick
thanks betterbidding
Making a second post for my additional nite... this link has my priceline win from the previous nite.
Was a nice stay, and I think they only offer suites so it was spacious. Would recommend.
10/21/10 to 10/22/10, 1 night
$48 Residence Inn by Marriott at Corona Riverside
And thanks for the link, read through it, didn't know about that way to determine the amount of stars in the area.
2 months ago, I did two rebid zones to try to get a 3* hotel in the Inland Empire (Pomona-Diamond Bar) area. 1st Rebid Zone was Inland Empire (Redlands) which was okay. 2nd rebid zone was Inland Empire (Corona-Riverside West) which shows only 2.5*'s. I got Residence Inn by Marriott Corona Riverside for $48. Did not want it since it was too far.
Did a separate priceline with only Inland Empire (Pomona-Diamond Bar) area. Got 3* Sheraton Suites Fairplex for $55.
Just giving a heads up that Corona-Riverside West has a 3* hotel now.
thanks !!! ordered a $25 restaurant gc, this will come in handy for my upcoming trip
Amenities are
Smoke Free Rooms
Fitness Center
Pools
Restaurants
Spa Services
Total $1548.60
4 rooms 7/30-8/2
Been trying in the recent past, but always below $100 range
Tried 1st time $102 - rejected
Tried 2nd time $106 - they offered to raise it $20 to $126
I rejected it
then tried 3rd time - $110 - success
Seen PL posts for westin of range $85-$110 so I'm in the higher end, but still satisfied
since most fridays and saturdays are at the higher range
Very happy with the price...really looking forward to it as I've never stayed at the Vdara
For 4 rooms, when I did it for 1 room, it was 89/per, hmmm
Thanks, used the HOTWIRE link
$75 Westin Bonaventure
Got a great price but I priceline'd on the same day at 6pm of July 14 (weds), was able to get lower too a few times the past months
I guess if it's close to or on the day, it's easier to get a better price
Been trying daily to get a 4* hotel in Downtown LA for 3 rooms for 7/26-7/28 (A Monday), even raising up to $100 but still unsuccessful
anybody have a similar sort of experience / advice?
Amenities shown for the Hilton Anaheim at (Disneyland South)
Fitness Center
Pool
Restaurant
Business Center
High-Speed Internet Access
Golf Nearby
Tennis Nearby
Ah thank you for finding out.
I ended up booking the Hilton Anaheim in the Disneyland South Area instead of the OC-Costa Mesa area since it's a closer area to what I wanted. 4* at 83/room for 7/24-7/26, not what I intended, but okay regardless. :)
Used the BB-HOTWIRE link, thank you all for the help.
I did 2 nights, 4 adults and 2 children.
Update: Rechecked, it shows the same amenities, but now the rate is 69
And it is recommended 65%
Does that mean it is two different hotels?
Hi, this is my first time using hotwire so I'm not sure how it works.
$75/night dates 7/24-7/26 3 rooms
Says recommended in 80% customer reviews
The amenities are
Airport shuttle, fitness center, pool(s), restaurant(s), business center, high-speed internet access
I think it's the Hyatt Regency Irvine, but I'm not sure, maybe it could be the westin.
I really want to get the Westin South coast plaza, any tips on how to get it/? any help is appreciated
3.5* Long Beach (San Pedro) Doubletree Hotel San Pedro
in Priceline Hotels - California (all other cities)
Posted
At $65 rate, one bid. Thought I would get the Crowne Plaza San Pedro, since those were the most recent wins.
Doubletree - Free parking, but room quality is a little below that of the Doubletree's I've been too. (showerhead, desk, noise, outdated heater, bed comfort)
So good price, but wouldn't do again.
