  1. I booked the rental car this morning through hotwire. Very happy as this is the first car I have booked. May 16-22 Economy Daily rate $14.95 with taxes and fees total $148.57 - Alamo. I used the HOTWIRE link provided. Thanks!
  2. Just for clarity's sake as I recently have booked the Sheraton Vistana Resort - there are two resorts with similar names. The Sheraton Vistana Resort and the Sheraton Vistana Villages are two seperate resorts - you may already know this but I had to study a bit before I realized there are two resorts.
  3. I was wondering that myself - it doesn't say on my reservation so I am assuming that this is the smallest villa. I will have at least 2 people but maybe 3. But I do plan on sending in a room request to the hotel before I leave. Who knows if they had room there might be a possibility of an upgrade but I am not counting on it.
  4. Here is the revised list from the hotwire account page- Resort Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Kitchenette Children's Activity Program
  5. Sheraton Vistana Amenities- Resort Smoke Free Fitness Pools Restaurants Business Laundry High Speed Internet
  6. I just did a little investigating on the Sheraton Vistiana and really am happy to pay less. Sure enough that was it - so I got the Sheraton Vistiana Resort May 16-20th through hotwire for $76/night with taxes total $351 for 4 nights. But I apologize - I completely forgot to start my booking through the better bidding. Thanks for the tip - I think we will be very happy with this resort.
  7. I am also seeing 4 stars in Lake Buena Vista on hotwire for $76- wondering if I should just do that!
  8. I started bidding yesterday for Resorts in the Lake Buena Vista/Orlando area. So far no success. I started with the dates May 16-20 and a starting bid of around $50. I added areas that do not show that they have resorts and continued bidding until I reached $85. I don't really want to go higher than that right now and am considering changing my dates. Thanks for any advice!
  9. Think I am about to answer my own question. I just noticed the resort category under the Lake Buena Vista area. Am I correct in assuming if I want to get hotels such as Hilton Bonnet Creek I would need to tick the RESORT category?
  10. Sure - happy to do that - didn't book through PRICELINE or HOTWIRE for my Disneyland Paris stay - added my reply to the thread. For the Orlando stay I was looking at May 15-20, 2011. Thanks.
  11. Hi - yeah I decided not to try - not enough information for my satisfaction. I booked through an online travel site but it would be great to see how others do in booking through HOTWIRE or PRICELINE for Disneyland Paris - definitely and area that people would be interested in booking!
  12. Hi - After 3 successful hotel bookings on Hotwire, I am considering trying my hand at Priceline for the first time. Having never done this before, I find it somewhat intimidating. I would like to book a five night stay in May in Orlando - Lake Buena Vista area - really would love the Hilton Bonnet Creek (though I'd be happy with any 4 star) but when I look at the priceline areas and select Lake Buena Vista it does not indicate that there are any four star hotels in the area - the star ratings start at 3 & 1/2. I also notice on the priceline Florida hotel list that the stars are not listed for the "four star" hotels like Hilton Bonnet Creek, Swan, Dolphin etc. So how does this work?? How does one bid for a four star hotel in the Lake Buena Vista area - or is there no way to do that really? Thanks for any help!
  13. Amenities were listed as restaurant, pool, fitness, hi-speed internet, business!
  14. Won the Hilton at Heathrow Terminal 4 - $58 on Hotwire for May 6 2011. With taxes the price comes to $75. This is the hotel I was wanting. I used the indicators on the hotwire hotel list to help me, prayed and am so thankful I got the hotel I wanted!
  15. The location of this hotel is terrific! It is located near a tram 2 stop, along the Danube, and just a few minutes walk from the Chain Bridge. We used public transportation which was very accessible and easy to use. The staff were great - not only did they honor my room request (two beds) but they arranged for a special surprise for my friend who was celebrating her 40th birthday. We had a city view which we didn't mind at all but I imagine a river view would be stunning. Our room was on the smallish side. The hotel itself feels very comfortable - furnishings, bedding, decor. Budapest itself is truly lovely. I am so glad I went and now want to take my family and friends - and definitely want to stay at this hotel!
  16. So happy with my second hotwire venture! Intercontinental Budapest 5 * for Sept 7 - 9th - I used the HOTWIRE link provided and amenities listed were correct. $49/night two nights $98 with taxes $29.85 = $127.85 What a great deal!!! :) Fitness, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Spa Thanks!
  17. Yeah - that is what I was thinking - pure speculation. We'll see if I am brave enough to try. I am looking at September - probably first week - 6-8th or 9th.
  18. I am looking for Disneyland Paris area hotels that are on hotwire and priceline. Unfortunately I haven't found that much information. I checked out the hotel lists here and haven't found a lot of help for the Disneyland Paris area - are there separate lists for that area available somewhere? Does anyone know if the Marriott D'il de France is on the priceline site - I saw it there as a three star (with rates of $200+) and am wondering if I name my own price for three star (only three star and two stars are listed) what I might get. Normally I wouldn't want to bid for a three star in that area. Anyone have any advice for Disneyland Paris area I would appreciate it! Thanks!
  19. This is my very first time to use hotwire/priceline or betterbidding but I was so happy with my experience that I just registered and want to post my results! First of all I will apologize for not using the HOTWIRE link here - I am new at this but will use the link in the future. I had been very anxious about booking an airport hotel at CDG - as the ones I wanted were very expensive and so began investigating hotwire. I browsed here as a guest a couple of days to get an idea of how this works. My results: First time user - complete newbie- Hotwire- Hilton Paris Roissy Charles De Gaulle Airport 4 star **** Nov. 11, 2010 $89 plus tax $103 I used the hotel indicators listed on this website for Hotwire/Hilton CDG to help me- shuttle, restaurant, pool, fitness, high speed internet, business center, tennis Thank You!
