  1. Bid on it yesterday and got an immediate win at $ 70 (first bid). Might even be successful at $ 65 :)
  2. Perfect, thanks a lot for the strategy. I have been successfull at $ 158 (paying $ 148 due to a $10 reward) and won the 3* Courtyard New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue. PRICELINE link was used. Thanks :)
  3. Hello, Zones accepted are (in order of preference, but this is not the main criteria): Midtown West, Midtown East, Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, TSQ, Central Park South, Chelsea, Soho, Upper West Side. Long Island City would not be considered for a bid higher than $ 110, as we already have a decent offer for this area at the HoJo Inn. The other areas in Manhattan are not considered for bidding as distance to subway station might be larger. Our strict limit for a bid is $ 165. I have seen some successfull bids on even 3* for that time, but sure I know that a chance to win is low. Thats why we just want to give it a try. Thanks!
  4. Hello Betterbidding Users, we just decided to probably have a last minute trip to New York City for a duration of 4 nights. Dates possible are Sep 24-28 or Sep 25-29. Our backup hotel is the Howard Johnson Inn Long Island City at a price of $603 in total for 4 nights. Now we are trying to bid on a Manhattan Hotel, maximum $140 per night. Can anyone suggest a strategy? Might we even be successfull to make a win at this price, minimum 2,5*, preferred 3*? Priceline areas we cut off the list are Brooklyn, Coney Island and Harlem. Anything else would be great, although we would def. prefer to be a location centrally in Manhattan. Thanks very much in advance. I don'r really know where to start with my bidding. :)
