We booked the Westin Pointsett for Downtown Greenville by searching SPECIFICALLY for the downtown area for the 27-28 of May, 2016. It came up as "Well-appointed 4-star hotel in downtown Greenville" and shows 100% recommended "Top Rated" as well as Free Internet, Business Center, Golf Nearby. It also had "Weekend Deal" in red text.

Used the PRICELINE link to book a 4* in Downtown Nov 6-13, 2010 Declined bids for Nov 7-13 for the same price (and lower), we are flexible on travel dates so later I bid again and they accepted at $65... got Intercontinental.

Thanks for the tips and PRICELINE link in this priceline hotel thread! It worked for me too. I just bid $35 on PRICELINE for the same area Tech Center South - 3 star (not plus). and got Hyatt Place Denver South for July 31- Aug 4, 2010. Got 4 nights for the price of one - awesome!!! (Yes, I used the PRICELINE link too)
