$50 + $10 bonus cash I bid $50 because I was using $10 bonus cash. I can usually get a room in Markham for $55 but for some reason just decided to try a higher total bid. This was the result. The rooms are not as nice as the Holiday Inn in Markham, but hot breakfast is included (plus a kitchenette in your room) Please use the PRICELINE link from this website! :) I paid over $130 / night for this hotel a few days before I discovered this site and priceline. It is a nice hotel with friendly staff, but it is far away from downtown Halifax. Food places won't deliver that far. It's about a $20 cab ride into the city. I don't have any advice for car rentals, sorry. Just be careful when you drive, traffic lights are confusing at night. It would probably still be better than cabs, you can't flag one down. You have to call (or go into a store and have them call) one for you.

Sorry for the confusion. I used priceline as always and use the link from this site when I am the one booking. This was the Radisson Hotel Toronto East 3 Star North York East 55 Hallcrown Place Toronto, Ontario M2J 4R1 It was zone 8 (north york east). Hope this makes it more clear.

The first 5 hotels I got were great! Then I got Radisson again. This time parking was a bit over $20 a night and the parking spaces were so tight and back in only. The room was loud (I wondered what I was hearing at 1am, thought it was the sound of engines revving only to figure out it was the room above adjusting their sleep number bed!) Anyway, I left about 6 hours after I arrived and checked out despite having paid for another day. I know the reviews for this hotel are pretty good. I only left because I had a better option (a friends house with wifi and a more comfortable bed, and less noise). In the future I will try to avoid areas with Radissons or pay more for 3.5* When you include parking and conversion rate, it comes up to about $108cad a night. But Ottawa hotels tend to be expensive...

This hotel turned out to be really nice! The elevator was a bit slow but the actual room was clean and nicely renovated! I liked it more than than the Courtyard Toronto =)

I guess this is a reasonable rate for a thanksgiving weekend in a prime location. The hotel has great reviews. I wish more people posted their winnings on this site. It is thanksgiving weekend so that hotel was all booked up. I've read a lot of mediocre to bad reviews about this hotel (smell/noise/bathrooms and overall out of date). I guess that is just part of using PRICELINE. Sometimes you luck out.
