I booked this hotel on 5/10/10, my first bid was accepted. I was offered to extend the stay for the same price but was only allowed to extend until 5/13/10. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $64.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $64.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $12.78 (USD) Total Room Cost: $76.78 (USD) my wife is staying there and is reporting that the hotel is very nice and that her room is spacious and clean.

Hello everyone, It's nice to join this forum! I have used priceline quite a few times in the last few years and was always wondering; If I only select a certain star rating to bid on, does the amount of my winning bid have anything to do with which hotel i get? i.e. would I get a better hotel if I bid more and vice versa? Or does priceline "know" which hotel it intends to offer for that star rating and I just have to aim as low as I can? And another thing, when people post their bids in this forum, do they post their original bid or the final price (including taxes)? I appreciate your help :)
