Free Internet Restaurant Internet Access Fitness Center Business Center Booked 2 rooms the night before, and then booked this single room for an extra night. The Amenities changed significantly for the two bookings, but fortunately the price stayed exactly the same so I was sure it was the same hotel.

I did not do it as a two night reservation and a one night reservation because of the risk of the hotel changing/disappearing and being separated from our guests that arrive the second night. I hope the hotel does not make us check out/check in again. Does anyone have information about successfully getting hotels to cooperate in this regard?

There were two four star hotels posted as well, which confused me, because I thought Hotwire only showed the lowest price at a given star level. One was certainly the Cadillac Book, the other was $145 marked down to $111, 4 of 5 on Trip advisor, 90% recommended by hotwire. Thought it might be the MGM that was a win before, but the pet friendly made me skeptical. So I called MGM and they do in fact allow small pets, so I took the chance. Never stayed at the MCC, but happy to give it a try. Less convenient but a great price on a Saturday night. I'm going to suggest it is likely not MGM, as I noticed on my MGM booking that it said 100% recommended, not 95%. Greektown Casino Hotel is a possibility, but $113 isn't too expensive for Motor City, that's often about where it is priced on Hotwire. I think that is the most likely suspect. Couple phone calls verifying "pet friendly" might go a long way toward narrowing it down.

Free Parking Casino Recommended by 100% of travelers Lions play on Monday Night Football on this night, so downtown availability is scarce. I was just assuming that this would be Motor City Casino. I was shocked (and pleased) to get MGM. I apologize for not making better note of the amenities, since this looks new to the board. I searched for it again and it was no longer offered on that night. Please advise if I can see them some other way.

This seems to be a new hotel to the board. Smoke Free Pool Business Center Golf Fitness center Restaurant High Speed internet Ruled out Fort Shelby due to the fact that they have no pool and ruled out Roberts Riverwalk due to no Boutique designation. Was hoping Hilton Garden was the match even though its 3.0 not 3.5 on the Board. Someone needs to be the first winner on a new listing :) Will give feedback on the experience.

Thank you. Yes, the Atheneum is great and worth $108. The Motor City is not great logistics to the ballpark. I'm going to keep the cancelable Atheneum for now. On another game that's not opening day I'll definitely book that offer if I see it again and let the board know.
