  1. Well I ended up changing my destination and going out into the 'desert' and booked thru the PRICELINE link on this site. Accepted bid at La Quinta Resort - $100 per night for a 10 night stay 5/8 - 5/18 (bids of $85-95 declined) I stayed here last year (booked direct thru Hilton). It is a pleasant property and I believe a very fair deal at this price point. **Any advice on getting my room preferences and Hilton Honors account added to my reservation - being that i booked thru PRICELINE? Thanks!
  2. Could someone help identify this hotel and tell me if its a good deal? 4-star hotel in Glendale - Burbank - Universal City Listed on Hotwire @ $102 for 2 adults and 2 children (5/7 - 5/14) States: Recommended in 80% of customer reviews Overall Satisfaction 4.0 Trip Advisor rating of 3.5 This hotel features the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access
  3. Gotcha, we are two adults and two small children.
  4. It seems like there are a lot (like 15) 4* hotels in that zone, some of them don't seem so family friendly (too boutique-ish)any way to avoid that?
  5. Thanks, your assumption is correct those dates are firm. I would really like a nice solid 4* hotel in the $100 (or slightly over) range, heated pool is a must and not really into the young hip hotels since I'm traveling with two small children. I am flexible with my location but would like to be centrally located (since I can't afford Santa Monica). I will look into the century city/westwood area, and possibly downtown LA? I don't know much about the area, but maybe they're are more affordable 4* hotels in the Newport Beach/Huntington Beach area (thats not too south for me) and its close to Disney...? I would definitely sacrifice location for a god quality 4* hotel and LOVE a great deal! Thanks for any input!
  6. Thanks for all the help, I've been reading thru the site and you guys are excellent! I noted the comments regarding posting and will keep that in mind for the future, thanks. It's looking like the Santa Monica area might be too rich for my blood, and I may have to move my search a bit inland PS. I AM using your "links" section to travel to the various travel sites
  7. The dates I am looking for are 5/7 - 5/14, I did not put in 2 adults and two children - When I went back and changed the number of guests, the same property rates went up to $215 per night. Thanks!
