Typically I review potential hotels on this site and others before my stay, but in this instance it was the first time it appeared on betterbidding. I had two rooms for the night of October 7th. The front desk service was slow and incompetent from directions to the hotel to reacting to complaint calls from noise. This Sheraton is on the downside. Wallpaper has begun to peel, fixtures are in need of repair, but the major issue is noise. This Sheraton provides a hub for entertainment for the coomunity, but it appears that guests are given secondary consideration. We tried to have dinner in the "upscale" restaurant-City Limits- however the sound system from the hotel bar drowned out any conversation and the waitress repeatedly apologized for the shaking walls from the bass. We were unable to sleep the entire night due to individuals running down the hall, yelling, and slamming of doors. Despite two calls to the front desk and eventually an in-person visit to the front desk this continued from midnight to 5AM. Although this may be an isolated incident, the check-out clerk apologized but rationalized that we were in the hallway near the "comedy club," which implied this was not an unusual occurence. There are two sections of this Sheraton with three wings and a tower. Possibly the towers are the better room? Yes, I reported this situation to Priceline.
