  1. Good thing I have time..... Minivan rejects: bid $18 (low I know but in the past it's never been a problem) $19 $20 $21 Premium: Bid $18 rejected
  2. a friend of mine did this for a coworker. She only bid once for each size and was accepted
  3. I had a great rate with Budget using Entertainment code for a full size, 1 week for $160 total. But with a family of 5 and lots of luggage I started thinking we needed a bigger car. Everyone's rates were around $34 a day for larger. I bid $21 for a minivan and was rejected bid $20 for a luxury and was rejected bid $18 for a premium and was countered with $20. Took that offer. Your offer: $20.00 Total Rental Days: 7 Subtotal: $140.00 Taxes & Fees: $62.08 Total Charges: $202.08
  4. They decided to stay at Paris which averages out to $186/night before taxes.....some just like playing it safer...thanks for the suggestions!
  5. My neighbor just tried to bid 5* vegas. She started out at $99, went to $150, $175. She stopped trying after this. If she tries again, I'll add to this post.
  6. My husband's client booked this but didn't know how to work the system. He's not familiar with the re-bid process so he took PL up on their counter offer. He started out bidding $68, PL countered at $85 and he accepted......He's happy since the regular rate is $179/n. It's a very nice place with BEAUTIFUL views of the mountains.
  7. I have it all written down. I had no real pattern. There were two bids different zones (the winning one was $80, not $85) 4* downtown was: $72, 75, 77, 80, 82 & 85 rejected. I was out of rebids started over with new bid- 4* convention center: $65, 70, 75, 78, with $80 winning Does this make sense? Hope it helps someone else.
  8. Started yesterday with 4* downtown @ $72. Used 5 free-rebids and went up to $85. No luck Today I started with 4* CC-CH @ $65. Used 4 rebids and got the Hyatt for $80. I was hesitant about bidding for this area because of the reported lack of restaurants and shopping once the businesses are closed. But I love the idea that the metro is right in the building and we can get around the city...which the kids will be very excited about. The rate on Hyatts website is $219! :) Thanks for this site! I used the Savingsbarn web but I guess you don't get credit since there's no direct link?
