  1. I let the Express deal for what was probably the Granduca get away from me...no longer listed. I'm still looking for something for those dates in Austin. This is what I see: Express Deal Nov 9 -12 Downtown Austin 1 room $181/ plus tax Fitness center, restaurant, no smoking, free internet, pool, guest score 8+ The amenities filter on the priceline page said there wasn't anything. Thoughts???
  2. I am looking at a Priceline Express deal for November 9 - 12. It is 4.5* in Austin Southwest - Barton Creek - MoPac Area. Amenities are: Free Internet Pets Allowed Indoor or Outdoor Pool Non Smoking Areas Fitness Center Restaurant $202/night for a king bed I want to book it if it is the Granduca but not if it is the Omni. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for the help, since the trip is tomorrow I went ahead and booked the 4.5* downtown property listed in my original post for $85. It was St Louis Union Station Hotel Curio Collection by Hilton. Thanks again!
  4. I’m sorry I thought I concluded this at the time. I never could find a combination of price and star level that I was comfortable with, so I booked directly through Disney.
  5. I have tried and tried bidding up into the $73+ range and have not gotten anything. I am pretty annoyed. I would like something less than 1 mile to the City Museum and Arch, or within walking distance of Forest Park/the Zoo/etc. I don't want to spend all of my time driving, finding parking and paying for parking. I am pretty unfamiliar with St. Louis. Any suggestions on what hotel would meet these needs, if there are any on Express deals or if I'm doing something wrong in my bidding? Thanks!
  6. Two PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals I am considering in St. Louis for July 29-30: Downtown St. Louis: Pets Allowed Business Center Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Non Smoking Areas $85/night Or Forest Park - Clayton: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Non Smoking Areas $131/night Or since these two zones appear to be the only zones with 4.5*, should I just try bidding for one of these hotels, and maybe get it cheaper? Especially since this is a Sunday night?
  7. Upon review, I think I would be ok with any of the 3.5*+ hotels in the Disney Springs or Bonnet Creek areas, although I would obviously be willing to pay much more for some than others. Any tips on if I want to try bidding? I’m a pretty experienced Priceline user but Orlando has SO MANY hotels it’s quite overwhelming.
  8. I am looking for a hotel for two adults for 1/15-1/17. I would like EITHER a Disney property OR a 4+ * very close to WDW. I’m willing to spend $160 or even slightly more (including resort fees) for a really nice property (4.5-5*). If it is a 3-3.5* Disney property I would prefer to be around $100 or less. I am fine with taking a chance on bidding or booking Priceline express. I have browsed a lot but I am worried that if I try to get a Disney property by bidding I will end up with something less desireable. Thoughts/suggestions?
  9. I decided to book it at this price, and I got the Omni Grove Park Inn! With the extra 5% off through this site's PRICELINE link, the total was $310 - 5% + tax = $362.46 for two nights!
  10. Did my patience pay off?? I'm seeing a price of $155/night for the same dates, 8/27-29. It's added a queen bed choice now, though. I didn't know there were any "1 queen bed" rooms at the Omni Grove Park Inn? But I can't figure out what else it could be in this area. Here's what I got in my search today: 4-Star Hotel in the Asheville North Area Your room: 1 QUEEN BED Amenities: Business Center, Restaurant, Internet, Swimming Pool, Gym/Spa, Non-Smoking Guest Score: 8+ Check In: Sun, Aug 27, 2017 Check Out: Tue, Aug 29, 2017 Rooms: 1 rooms for 2 nights Room Rate: $155.00 per room/night
  11. Using the link at the top of the page, I get the red box and message stating the code can only be used when I click through the board link--which I did! Maybe bc I'm in private browsing?
  12. Thank you! I will use the links here, although I tried the link and code for 5% off and it didn't work? Maybe because I was on a mobile device? Two weeks ago the price on Priceline express for what I believe to be the same property was in the $210 range, so the price has gone down. I'm trying to decide whether to gamble or just book at that rate. I've gone back and closed out the other two threads, so sorry about that!!
  13. We ended up booking WorldQuest Orlando directly, not through HOTWIRE.
  14. Conclusion: we ended up not going to orlando
  15. My goal is to get Omni, I think this is the only 4* in Asheville North? Thoughts on bidding instead or waiting to book? Amenities showing: 4-Star hotel in the Asheville North Area Your room: 1 King Bed Amenities: Business Center, Restaurant, Internet, Swimming Pool, Gym/Spa, Non-Smoking Guest Score: 8+ Check In: Sun, Aug 27, 2017 Check Out: Tue, Aug 29, 2017 Rooms: 1 room for 2 nights Room Rate: $196.00 per room/night Taxes & Fees: $84.96 Room Total: $476.96 Hotel Fee: $56.50 (Due at hotel) Total Price: $533.46
  16. This might not be as kid-friendly as some other hotels, but it looks like it will be quite nice, and the price is less than what seemed to be listed on Hotwire. The MARTA is a short walk. I feel happy with the price! My first bid was $155. It said I could rebid for $189, but I chose to add a 4.5* level and rebid at $166.
  17. Ideas for this 5* in Buckhead for $202/night? FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower The hotwire hotel list doesn't list any 5* right now.
  18. Same dates, Oct 10-13, using BiddingHelper.com, I'm seeing a HOTWIRE rate of $167/night for a 4.5* in midtown with the following amenities: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Is this the Hyatt, just bumped to a 4.5*?
  19. Thanks, I used the BiddingHelper.com tool and found the same amenities. The location for the Hilton looks pretty good, but the reviews look questionable. I need something family friendly, in a good location for sightseeing, and close to MARTA because we will not have a vehicle. I would like to stay under $200 per night (under $150 would be great) and ideally book a 5* or 4.5*, or a 4* in the downtown area near the aquarium, coca-cola, etc. I've been looking at the downtown, midtown, and buckhead areas. We will need 2 beds (I know I cannot specify with PRICELINE, but I've never had an issue before).
  20. Same dates, 3.5*, boutique hotel, 90% recommended. $95/night. Says, "The last person got The Ellis Hotel." Amenities: Free Internet Pet friendly Boutique hotel Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Wheelchair accessible Possible for the Ellis Hotel--maybe it has been downgraded to a 3.5*?
  21. Thanks. I am not sure I want to risk it for that one. I will update with more questions if needed and my eventual decision.
  22. I made a typo--The dates I searched were 10/10 through 10/13.
  23. I used the BB Hotwire link to find this 4* in Downtown Atlanta for $84/night. 80% recommended, 3.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor. Amenities: Business center Fitness center Pet friendly Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Tennis nearby Accessibility: Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel I cannot match up anything with an amenity set that includes "tennis nearby." Any ideas? Thanks!
  24. Staying April 5-7. I bid once for a 3.5* in Downtown for $50 and got the Galt House. Last time I did this, they upgraded me to a room in the suite tower. Let's hope that happens again!
  25. I searched 2 adults/2 kids. Does it really matter to the hotels/hotwire whether you include the kids, so long as the room has enough capacity? I will actually have 2 adults, 3 kids ages infant, 2 and 4.
