Hi thereuare, I'm still working on 12/9-12, I don't see a 3.5* hotel listed on hotwire for those dates. Do you think there's a chance I might get the doubletree using priceline if it's not appearing on hotwire?

I'm still considering a priceline bid for this part of my trip. I've read some posts here implying that the same hotels tend to be available on both hotwire and priceline at any given time. Is it your understanding that that's the case? If so, I'm wondering if I should try to ID the 4* on Hotwire, and if it looks reasonable, try to get it as a priceline bid for a lower price. I'm not able to access the Hotwire Easy View on bidding helper as I'm receiving this error: "Error: The server is temporarily unavailable, please try again later." That said, these are the amenities listed on the standard Hotwire view. Could you help with an ID? Thanks very much for your thoughts. As being downtown is a priority, I've tentatively booked a room at the Courtyard Marriott for my dates. I'll continue to watch Hotwire for new listings in case something pops up there that might be in the downtown area. As always, your help is much appreciated.

Hello, For the latter part of my December journey in the northeast, I'm looking for 3-4* accommodations in Westchester Co, NY. I might go ahead and try Priceline, but I'm a bit nervous about some of the White Plains hotels that are mixed in with Tarrytown on PL. Hello, I thought I'd mention that I see that there is a Holiday Inn listed on the Priceline NY hotel list. However, it's not 100% clear which hotel was won. I'm continuing to plan our college visit tour, so looking for rooms for 1 adult/1 child (16 yo) for the nights of Dec. 7 and 8. The Holiday Inn website shows 2 possibilities: Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Utica Holiday Inn in New Hartford, NY -- a Utica suburb The HI Express hotel in Utica proper gets much higher ratings than the one in New Hartford. Of course, what's available might be something completely different. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I should provide some context: I've tentatively booked at Meriton Serviced Apartments Campbell Street for AU$200 ($182 US) per night, so in this case I'm looking to see if I can do much better in terms of price or class via Hotwire. Hello, I'm struggling a bit to identify 2 hotwire hotels in Sydney. I'll list the amenities below, but so that I can do more of the legwork myself, can you point me to a FAQ that explains the identification process? It's time to close this thread. I decided to go with our plan B since bidding didn't pan out and Hotwire didn't offer much. We stayed at Penn's View Hotel (lovely historic hotel in the historic district). Had a terrific room with a balcony overlooking the water for $150 including breakfast. To clarify, my search options are set to March 10, 1-night, City Center East or City Center West, 2 Adults and 1 Child (13 yrs old), 3-3.5 or 4-4.5 stars. We are looking for a room for 1 night, the evening of March 10. My apologies for the delay in reporting on my London trip. As I just reported, we ended up booking a "special offer" through simply-london.com -- another good way to go if you need a room for 3 people.

Sorry for the delay in following up here. Based upon the advice above, I decided to try a different route. I booked a room for 3 ppl for 7 nights at the Park Plaza County Hall Hotel London for $2133.85, including all taxes and fees via simply-london.com. The website offers many deals with a free night when you reserve 2 or more nights, which really brings the price down. Thanks!
