Thank You Thereuare, I changed my safety hotel to the Double Tree I'm Reluctant to stay on ESB area, I will wait for a deal to apear, or keep the Double Tree Some important thing came to my attention PRICELINE and HOTWIRE Charges fees On a $280 hotel in New York PriceLine bidding and PRICELINE EXPRESS charges 5% or $14 more than other options; and HOTWIRE 12.41% or $34 more, making Hotwire less hot !
  3. I'm visiting my Daughter, that works in 52nd and Madison Ave, I want to be close for lunch and meet her at day's end. I also like to be close to the park, for a morning run. My back up hotel is The Lexington New York City, Autograph Collection.
  4. Thank You thereuare I need a room for 2 adults from Nov 2th to Nov 6th in a good 4* hotel o better, on the Rockefeller center, midtown east zones I have a safety reservation already, on a 4* hotel at $294 per night. Priceline express is showing a 4* at Rockefeller for $248 but only 7 out of 10 recomended, that is a concern to me. Also a 4.5* 8 out fo 10 recommended but at $275. This one would be a good choice if I knew the hotel name. Although I have time still, I think prices will be rising, I apreciate your opinion about this. Thanks again for your interest and help.

  10. thereuare, thank you for the explanation. I like to bid on PRICELINE, but lately it has been a burden to win a bid at a price lower than HOTWIRE, and since in hotwire I can get more information about the hotel I will be staying, I rather use HOTWIRE than PRICELINE EXPRESS, that why I'm feeling priceline is losing the battle, and if they get kick out of business, prices will be higher for us.
  11. This one was tough. I started very low for a 4.5 hotel. At 76 they asked for 117 HOTWIRE had one for 100 but their fees and taxes are higher than PRICELINE, and I was curious about PRICELINE reliability. I’m happy with the hotel
  12. Is price line getting less deals because of expdia acquisition of hotwire? Although priceline charges less commission than hotwire, what I've notice is that more often, priceline options are fewer and more expensive than hotwire/expedia.

  18. Hello; I will be traveling in Europe this June with my family, we are 5, all adult size. I’m planning on renting 2 rooms on each city. I know that price line is out of question, because the bed choices, so I’m trying to use Hotwire. I already have my back up reservations, and I’m happy with what I have, but Amsterdam is a little on the expensive side for me, and I’m trying to get something better. I’m looking on the Canal Belt Zones or the Royal Palace, 5 or 4 stars, and air condition is a must as 80% or more on recommendations. Any advice on how to get a bed for each one of us? I wouldn’t mind one rollaway bed. For example; 2 rooms 4 adults June 22 to 25th Canal Belt East-Plantage, I get 5 stars $196 90% recommended, and I think it is the “Grand Hotel Amrath Amsterdam”. If I try the same; 2 rooms for 5 adults I get what I think the same hotel for $272, is a $76 dollar increase for each room for each night, meaning $152 for the extra adult each day!! At that rate I can try and get 3 rooms on Price line….. If I try the same just with one room, I get the same results ($196-$272), meaning that they are charging me twice for the 5th adult if I buy 2 rooms at a time. I don’t know if any of this makes sense, but I’m on a Kind of loop here, that I can’t decipher, any help will be great. Also, If I try to buy the rooms, hotwire displays an error page, and have been this way for 3 days now. Best Regards
