  2. I do have to correct myself. I checked hotwires standard rates again. The hyatt place is shown as a boutique hotel. Stayed there several times and love the hotel. Our last trip this was not shown as a boutique hotel. I'm quite sure about the Hyatt Place now.
  3. hi everybody, next year we are travelling to the US eventually again. I'd like to identify a hotel, but another question first. When I start hotwire by opening the homepage directly (typing hotwire.com) in my browser, the results are shown in € and with tax and fees included as I am from germany. When using your link, the results are shown in $ bevor tax and fees. That is not a problem. But the results are different. Different hotels with different amenities. The hotel I'd like to identify is only shown, when using hotwire directly. Nevertheless I hope you could help me. I am looking for a 3* hotel in the Fort Lauderdale - Airpot FLL area ameneties: free parking free breakfast free internet pets allowed boutique hotel shuttle non-smoking gym pool 95% recommend 4.5 of 5 tripadvisor. (300+) Dates are 9/20/15-9/21/15 (yes 2015 is correct) price shown is 67 € (tax and fees included) Sounds great, but after checking tripadvisor , I have no idea what hotel that may be. Thanks in advance. Of course I use your links as much as possible. I'm really confused I couldn't find this hotel through your link.

  8. hi, I want to tell you about my attempts for Fort Myers and want to hear your opinion, please. We are interested in the Residence Inn Fort Myers Sanibel (gateway area). It ist 3*. I am totally aware that there is no guarantee, but the last wins were the Residence, so I wanted to try. Wins were $49 and $65. Our dates are 10/30/10 - 11/02/10. In this area one can choose star ratings from 2* to 4* hotels, we want a 3*. We tried during the last days, starting at $45 (with two rebid zones and on different days, increasing bit by bit.) Yesterday I tried 75$ and then got counter-offer to bid $95, I didn't do that. I tried $77 (rejected) and had no more rebid zones. This morning I reflected this again. Retail price for Residence Inn is 109$, therefore I think my bids are quite high. Looking at priceline's regular booking site, there is only one 4* (Mariott Resort) with a retail price of $159. Thinking about this, I'm wondering if: maybe there are no 3* hotels offered at the moment and if I bid a little more, possibly I'm upgraded to a 4* (what we don't want). I know, that no one can tell me for sure, but what is your opinion?? Could I be right? If there is the possibility to bid on 3*, are there definitely 3* hotels? They are not, are they? If I only bid enough for a 3* and there are no 3* I'll get upgraded. (Theoretical of course) Reviews of the Marriott are nice, it's a nice hotel and also would work, but we would prefer Residence Inn's location and we wouldn't mind saving some money :) I guess, we will wait and try some bids every day like $50 to $65, maybe there will be a lastminute deal. Otherwise we probably will be able to get something else last minute (the 4* or maybe another area). I'm goingt to continue trying... Of course, I did my reserch via BBs PRICELINE link.

  12. I wanted to bid for the Indiatlantic area, because we like to stay next to the sea and (a little bit) I was hoping for the Doubletree, which I like a lot. I wanted to start at 50,- and increase day by day or maybe use hotwire. Oops. I made a mistake and chose Melbourne itself (not beach). First bid accepted. Won the courtyard. Maybe one can get this one cheaper. But it is okay. We are going to do a 14 day roundtrip again. We'll find other hotels near the sea. Courtyard By Marriott Melbourne 2101 W New Haven Ave Melbourne, FL 32904 Check-In: Saturday, October 23, 2010-03:00 PM Check-Out: Sunday, October 24, 2010-12:00 PM Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $50.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $50.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $13.25 (USD) Total Room Cost: $63.25 (USD) Used the PRICELINE link on this site.
  13. Oh, thank you. How stupid I am. :o I just booked via priceline, because we would prefer the Indiatlantic area, near to the sea. But I chose the wrong area :) my mistake, but it is okay. :) I am going to post the win in a new topic. Thanks for your help.

  19. hello, i'm not canadian, but I'm also not from the US. My german credit card and billing adress worked well in April (or May). I started bidding for our October vacation (no success yet) and until now logging in with my german card and adress still causes no problem so far. Good luck! :)
  20. Hello again, after I had to cancel my earlier reservations because our flight from germany was cancelled because of this volcanic eruption I had to book new. First of all: cancellation was managed quickly and with great service. Now we got this hotel. We're really happy. Last time we got the Wyndham which had some bad reviews (and no longer is a 3.5 *) Used the PRICELINE link. :)
  21. I'm so happy, they are going to refund all of my three reservations for our Florida roundtrip. Great service, I really was afraid of that...
  22. Just one simple question: I wanted to sent an e-mail to priceline. After I filled out the form, I clicked "submit", and then the normal priceline homepage was opened. Do I need to get somekind of confirmation that my e-mail was sent? Sorry, I'm very nervous because our cancelled flights and my english is not that good. I phoned, but I#m not sure if I got everything 100% correct. I was asked to call after 8 a.m. again. Hope it works.
  23. Thank you very much. I didn't see that. Maybe there is a chance. Thank you very much for your help. I'm going to send an e-mail now.
  24. We wanted to fly to Florida today, but maybe you heard about it. There was a volcanic eruption. No flights are leaving europe since thursday, and no flights will go for several days. No end to see. We just cannot go to the USA. What can I do? Is there a chance of cancelling because of this very specila circumstances? Is it better to call or to send an e-mail? Help please!!
