  1. It will be fine for one night -- my only concern is there are four of us in the room (2 adults/2 children). Their website indicates a deluxe studio has a queen bed and a sleeper sofa, if you request a room that actually has two beds you have to pay an upgrade fee (whereas most hotels would have the option of two queens/doubles for no extra charge). I also wonder about the availability of a non-smoking room as this location appears to be one of the few left in the area that still offers smoking rooms. I will try to post some kind of review after our stay.
  2. Bid #1 - 3*, $42.00 (Rejected) Bid #2 - 2.5*, $43.00 (Rejected) Bid #3 - 2*, $44.00 (Accepted) Disappointed as I was hoping for Holiday Inn Express. Haven't used Priceline for several years now and probably screwed up the whole process -- but at least we've got somewhere to stay. :) Taxes & Service Fees: $13.70 (total for 1 night ended up being $57.70) I used the PRICELINE link provided.
  3. $50/nt accepted on my first bid (you know how that makes me feel!). Check-in -- 01/26/07 Check-out -- 01/28/07 2 rms x $50 x 2 nts = $200 + $34.60 (taxes/fees) Total = $234.60
  4. Thank you for your advice...I was a bit leary of a 2* as well. I think I will wait a bit longer in hopes that Homewood Suites will show up again. If not, I'll give Priceline a try!
  5. I was actually searching for 2 rooms w/three adults and two children...until now I didn't even realize that the number of people could affect the results (a "duh" moment for me!).
  6. Need help identifying Universal/Seaworld 2* with Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Laundry @ $41/night. Travel dates are 3/29-4/02 (2 rooms). Also, wanted to grab the $44 Homewood Suites deal but waited too long and it was no longer available. Is there a chance it might come up again? Thanks and Happy New Year!
  7. Just wanted to follow up with a review of this hotel. We arrived around 10pm and were given Smoking Room on the third floor in spite of two phone calls requesting Non-Smoking and Late Arrival. Room had not been used in awhile and was very disappointing. Furniture needs upholstery replaced as material was torn and had several cigarette burns (as well as carpet). Safety chain was broken on door. Light fixtures were loose on walls. Elevator door would not open on 3rd floor -- had to go to 4th and walk down. Second elevator was non-operational. Outdoor pool was drained for repairs but was filled by the time we left four nights later. We were told to have our bags packed and waiting inside the door to be moved to a Non-Smoking room the next day. Came back from DL late in the evening to find out a new room had been assigned on 10th floor but bags were still in old room. Had to transfer them ourselves as we didn't want to wait for a bellhop to do it (never even saw one the entire time we were there). Were given free breakfast for our trouble. This room was a bit nicer but a/c didn't work. Hotel uses ART shuttle for DL and is last stop on route. Service was very unreliable and ran every 40-50 minutes instead of 20 mins. as advertised. Overall, would not stay here or use shuttle ever again!
  8. I booked this as I felt my hands were tied. Tried Priceline, but in doing research discovered the 3*'s I would be interested in had no availability (going on the tail end of spring break). Each day it seemed as though more of the decent hotels were filling up...felt like I needed to get something fairly quick. Oh well...
  9. Amenities: Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Kitchenette, Business Center. Selected this thinking (hoping!) it might be Embassy Suites; ended up being Hilton Suites Anaheim/Orange located on N. State College Blvd. Was a little disappointed but it appears to have good reviews. It was listed as "Best Value" but rates directly through hotel's website showed an advance purchase rate of $89/night -- so not that much of a savings.
  10. Thank you for asking heritageacres -- I was just getting ready to post the same inquiry for a stay in April. There is also one very similar listed in the Disneyland South area. A previous post indicated one of these might be the Embassy Suites but it has not been confirmed.
