  1. Actually, I think I might have just figured it out. Looks like the Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront Suites. I'll know for sure in a few days (can't book it until I start cruise) and post it here.
  2. I booked a cruise a few months back and get 5 free nights on any HOTWIRE hot rate listing. 5 bills a night is way out of my price range. But free (actually, I have to pay fees and taxes, almost $300 total) is right up my alley.
  3. Amenities include : Free Parking, Suite, Beachfront Property, Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Kitchenette, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower. Recommended In 100% of Hotwire customer reviews. Listed rate is $479 per night. Any help on which hotel this might be would be appreciated.
  4. I used your link to start my purchase. Free Internet, Pet Friendly, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Hi-speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby, Accessible to the blind. These were the amenities listed before I made the purchase, on the opening page, just so you know.
  5. Amenities listed were... Free Internet Pet friendly Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking
  6. I have decided not to stay at any hotel in the Uniondale area in the foreseeable future.
  7. I sort of already said that I wasn't using Hotwire for the Key West stay. But I concluded it as you suggested. My plans are not firm for the Uniondale stay. Done.
  8. I did not use HOTWIRE for this stay, because, as I stated, the location of the Ibis Bay Resort wasn't to my liking. I booked directly with Sheraton Suites Key West.
  9. February 19-21, 2 nights, 3 star, $110 @ night, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, hi-speed internet. Recommended in 90% of reviews. Only hotel in pinned list is La Quinta, but amenities don't match up. I'm hoping it's the Hilton Garden Inn. Any ideas?
  10. Thank you for your best guess. If it is indeed the Ibis Bay Resort, while the price is enticing, the location isn't. I already have the Sheraton Suites Key West booked directly with Sheraton at $152.10 per night. That reservation was made 4 months ago. The price per night has since gone up and HOTWIRE does not include it in their listings for those dates. Thanks again.
  11. Let me apologize for the incorrectness of my last post. I did not use HOTWIRE for the dates on this thread. Don't remember if I even took a trip on those days. I did however get the Sheraton-Atlantic City from Aug 15-19, 2010 for $79 per night. At the time, it was listed as a 3 1/2* and the amenities were: smoke-free rooms and restaurant(s).
  12. Gues I should have done that at the time. Can't imagine why anyone would read them now after 2 years. That being said, it's done.
  13. Ended up getting the Sheraton Atlantic Ciity through Hotwire. Thanks for your help.
  14. Found a great deal on a hotel near the "Needle" through Expedia. Thanks for your advice.
  15. I have nothing to add to either of those threads because I ended up not using Hotwire for those trips.
  16. Any ideas ??? Key West area hotel. Beachfront property, smoke-free rooms, pool(s), restaurant(s), hi-speed internet access, golf nearby. $59 per night.
  17. Used the Better Bidding HOTWIRE link to book the above trip for the Holiday Inn - Fisherman's Wharf (not Holiday Inn Express) Amenities listed were : Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-Speed Internet Access. Total with fees $579 for 2 adults and 2 children $1280 is the best price currently available for same hotel on web. Over 50 % savings for a 4.1 out 5.0 rated hotel (on Expedia). Thank You Better Bidding and HOTWIRE
  18. I'm looking to stay in the Bellevue area near Seattle for 4 nights from 7/8/10 - 7/12/10. Hotwire has 1 listing for that area. It's a 3-star for $69 per night. Amenities listed are: fitness center, pool, restaurant and hi-speed internet. Wondering if you have any idea what hotel this might be. Thank you.
  19. Amenities listed are : casino, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, hi-speed internet access, golf nearby, tennis nearby $55 per night I don't think it's Harrah's because it doesn't list spa. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  20. Used the HOTWIRE link to purchase the Hoilday Inn Allentown @ 904 Hamilton St., Allentown, Pennsylvania 18101 4 nights at $53 per night. With taxes the total was $237.52. Amenities listed were: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Golf Nearby and Tennis Nearby. It was also listed as a "Best Value." Best available rate on hotel website is $103 per night. With taxes the total would be $457.60 for advance purchase. That's almost a 50% savings. Awesome. Thanks again "Better Bidding." NOTE TO THEREUARE: The hotel at this address is listed as the Holiday Inn, as well as, the Crowne Plaza. In your pinned section, you have it listed as the Crowne Plaza, but when you get it on Hotwire, it comes up as the Holiday Inn. They both have the same address, photos, prices, etc... So you might want to change the pinned list to show this as the Hoilday Inn, or both.
  21. Purchased 3 1/2 star Atlantic City Downtown for 1 night, 2 adults + 2 children, 3/25 for $79 (total with taxes was $100.69) and got the Trump Plaza. Best available rate online was $114 + taxes ($94 + taxes for AAA). The Trump Plaza was listed as a Best Value. The listed amenities were: Beachfront, casino, fitness center, pool(s), restaurant(s), business center, hi-speed internet access.
  22. I apologize for the mistake in the date. It should read 4/5/07 - 4/14/07. If you could correct this, please do so as to not confuse other users. Thanks
  23. Just booked next years Easter vacation trip on Hotwire.com For $76 per night (total of $775.32 including taxes) for 9 nights, I got the 3* Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Alexandria Historic District, 625 First Street, Alexandria, Virginia, 22314. Amenities listed were: airport shuttle, fitness center, pool(s), restaurant(s), and laundry facilities. It is also currently list as a BEST VALUE. Best available price on the Holiday Inn website was $191 per night (total of $1934.73 including taxes) for the same 9 nights. A savings of $1159.41 or 60%. Not bad for a couple of hours of Internet investigation. There is also a $12 per night + tax parking fee. Not bad considering the area. They have an indoor/outdoor pool, free internet access (not listed as amenity), and local shuttle service to Old Town and the Metro (also not listed as amenity, only airport shuttle is listed). In addition, it is only as 0.7 mile walk to the Braddock Road Metro stop if you prefer not to take the shuttle or don't want to wait for it. The Braddock Road Metro stop is on either the Blue or Yellow line which pretty much takes you anywhere you want to go in the downtown D.C. area. Anyone interested in visiting D.C. next Easter should probably jump on this one quickly. Just a sampling of the rates in the D.C. area for that time of year is enough to scare you away from visiting one of the coolest areas in the country (IMHO). Will review hotel upon return. Better Bidding to all !!!!! Walter
