  1. Looks like a great hotel and wasn't listed, so this seems to be a new hotel for Hotwire, at least as far as this site is concerned.
  2. It's the Toronto International Film Festival and almost every hotel in Downtown Toronto is going to be close to full from about the 6th of September through the 13th or 14th. However, people cancel all the time (their films weren't accepted, etc.) so rooms are frequently popping up.
  3. I am planning a 2 night stay in Prague in early July and I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions on hotels and if anyone has had any success w/Hotwire or Priceline. Thanks!
  4. Good point! Ok, I ended up finding a room at the Sorrento hotel on Orbitz. They had a special deal with Orbitz that included a suite upgrade, which was fantastic. A great hotel that I fully recommend!
  5. Oy. Sorry. I do realize that I keep forgetting to do that! Just wnet and did it, thanks! The dates of my stay at Heathrow are the 26-27 of January, but in the meantime I went and found a deal directly through a hotel's site using my points, so again, won't be using Hotwire/priceline for this stay. However, I am looking for a place in Berlin and will post a question in the appropriate board! Thanks. Re: the shuttles, I was only going by what the Heathrow official site, said. I do know about the Hilton and it's FAR too expensive! Thanks, Mark
  6. Thanks and sorry for not replying. It's just that when I ends up not using Priceline or Hotwire after all, I forget to close out my threads. I'll do better in the future, I promise! Best, Mark p.s. Go Blue!
  7. I found a Hotwire property at London Heathrow listed for $166 on January26th-27th. The amenities are: Airport Shuttle (although I understood there were no hotel shuttles) at LHR, restaurant, high-speed Internet, fitness, business center and spa. Anyone have any ideas what this might be?
  8. Thereuare, How can you tell? I looked at the pinned list of Hotwire Amsterdam hotels and there are only 2 listed. Is there another list I am not seeing? Thanks! Withnail
  9. I ended up getting the same hotel for all 11 nights in 2 blocks, the Westing Harbour Castle and the amenities were: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Tennis Nearby, Business Center. Thanks!
  10. I ended up canceling my trip and not using any hotels at all.
  11. Sorry for the delay! I ended up getting the Westin Harbour Castle and splitting my stay, 6 nights for $118/night and 5 nights for $83! For $83, it was fine, but for $118, less so. Housekeeping was less than thorough and place is a bit out of the way for what I needed it for, but considering I waited until virtually the last minute, I consider myself lucky!
  12. I am looking for a hotel in Seattle from September 3-5 and Hotwore returned a 4* for $146 with only a restaurant as an amenity. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
  13. BTW, it's now showing, for $98, a 4* customer favorite with Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, which matched the Sheraton Gateway (minus the customer fav. tag, which could be new). Of course, the Westin also has high speed and their pool may be fixed, so the listing just may have been updated. Anyone have an recent experiences with 4* LAX properties?
  14. There's a 4* LAX property coming up as a Customer favorite ($96) with: Shuttle, restaurant, fitness, business and laundry. Could this be the Westin and it's simply been changed to a customer favorite since the BB pinned list was last updated? Thanks!
  15. By splitting my bid I managed to get a better rate for my 11 day stay. When I tried to book for the entire 11 nights, I was quoted a rate of $118.00/night. When I split my bid, I ended up with the first 6 nights at $118.00 and the final 5 nights at $83.00/night. Excellent way to do long stays!
  16. Not a clue. It's not listed on their pinned list.
  17. I don't even see the Westin, anymore. Last night I saw it for my whole stay of 9/7-18 for $122, now it seems to be only the Interconti (downtown on Front St.) for $210 as the only 4* (seems it's been downgraded from 4.5*) or the Quality Hotel (pass!) for $145. Yikes! Might be better to go through the fest's hotel desk! -Mark
  18. We ended up getting the Palmer House Hilton, which had apparently been downgraded to a 3.5* for $87/night. A fantastic rate, obviously, especially considering it was Memorial Day Weekend. I ended up not going, but the rest of my group went and had a blast!
  19. Well, $122 isn't so bad, especially since the hotel is apparently "sold out" during the 2nd week of the fest. Withnail & I is the film and nope, sorry! Not an actor. Journalist/writer/producer. :)
  20. I have found a 4* in Toronto (Downtown) with the following amenities: Customer Favorite Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Tennis Nearby, Business Center. It seems similar to the Westin Harbour Castle, but.... It's coming up as $122 for the dates 9/7 through 9/18, which is a pretty good rate during the Toronto International Film Festival, but getting a better idea as to where in town I was being located would help! Thanks!
  21. I just did a search on Hotwire for Chicago for the dates of May 27th - May 30th. I was offered a 4* property on The Loop for $109 (a great rate, I think) with the following amenities: Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed. however, unless I am missing it, there are no hotels matching this in your pegged Hotwire hotel ID's. Any ideas what this property might be?Thanks! -Mark
  22. Any idea when the lists of Priceline and Hotwire hotels in NYC might be updated? From what I can see, they haven't been since early 2004.
