  1. Got the hotel on my second try. Shot down the first time bidding $45 on a 2.5* hotel. Later bid $48 for a 3* and won the Radisson. Seems like a nice hotel, and in a great location for what I will be doing.
  2. Last week I bid $38 a night for the 2*, so thought I would try lower this time. First bid of $34 was accepted for the Comfort Inn. I guess I will have to start out at $30 a night next time and see if I can get if even cheaper. Standard rate is $74 a night.
  3. Just wanted to add a follow up to my stay. The hotel was very nice for the price, and the location worked well for me, (didn't mind walking a bit to get to the downtown area). Though the room wasn't ready when we arrived 4:15pm, the receptionist did give me two $25 vouchers for dinner or drinks anywhere in the hotel. Ten minutes later the room was ready, so it wasn't such a big deal. Great room for the price, 5th floor marina/parking lot view. If I had paid full price of $330 a night I would have been upset as the room was quite small for full retail price. Overall a good experience.
  4. Bid $38 for a 2* near the airport assuming it would be the Comfort Inn and got it. The same hotel was on Hotwire for $47 a night. Hotel is what you would expect for a 2*. Nothing fancy, but nothing to really complain about either. When i checked in the receptionist said I had made a reservation for a smoking room, but thankfully they were able to switch me out to a non smoking. (Mods, can you please move this to the Priceline section for R.I.)
  5. Got the hotel I was expecting, the Hyatt Regency, from 8/14/11-8/16/11 for $138 a night. Amenities: Oceanfront, restaurants, golf nearby, Fitness center, business center, tennis nearby, pools, High speed internet, spa As has been mentioned before, do be aware the Hyatt charges a "Resort Fee" of $35 a night for internet, breakfast, and shuttle on top of the Hotwire.com rate once you arrive at the hotel. It shows on the hotwire page but is easy to miss.
  6. Working in the area and was looking for something closer than the standard airport hotels. Bid $40 on my first attempt and got the Best Western Seekonk. Next week I will try even lower, or see of the Hotel itself will match the price without all the PRICELINE fees.
  7. Great find. I reproduced this priceline deal for a night on 1/14 and also next week from 1/18-1/20. The hotel is one of the finest I have stayed at in Providence in a long time.
  8. They stay was nice. The hotel does have free wireless internet, as well as a fridge and microwave in the room. One thing to note is there is no elevator to get to the second floor. The hotel was nice enough for the price I am going to stay there again next week.
