  1. Checked betterbidding for winning bids for a 4* hotel Downtown of Granville Entertainment District. Bidded $ 97 and used a $5 a night priceline reward. My price $ 92. Instant winning bid. Perfect price for this hotel and location. I had winning bid for late August as well 2 weeks ago and this one is even better.
  2. Was able to book hotel for $ 50 a night using a Priceline rewards of $10 per night.
  3. Started at $100 for a 4* Downtown area. Bid refused. Second bid added Granville Entertainment District $ 106 (checked previous accepted bids for this area) and this one was accepted. Location just what we are looking for. :)
  4. Was looking for a hotel outside the main Seattle areas. Rates for downtown hotels a lot higher, not to mention the parking fees. Started bidding at $ 50 for Seattle Airport and finally had a winner at $ 65 in Bellevue. This is fine for us. Breakfast included, free Wifi, free parking, outside pool. Close to main roads, restaurants and shopping center. Short drive to downtown Seattle. Winning bid is almost half the regular price.
  5. Starter at $ 50 but bid was rejected. Added area Shelton and raised bid to $ 55. Was hoping for Hyatt since breakfast is included and location convenient for a one night stop from JFK towards Maine. Bid was accepted at $ 55 and is Hyatt Place, so I'm pleased.
  6. Tried for several days. Started at $ 75, added extra area and $ 5 every bid. First choice was Backbay. Last year we had a winning bid on the Sheraton too and had a perfect stay. So happy with this result.
  7. I started bidding at $ 45 for a 5* and added a couple of dollars everytime again. Added Airport Region as well, giving me a second change to bid again, knowing there isn't a 5* hotel outside the city centre. I didn't want to try *4. Best Western is qualified 4* on the PRICELINE website and I don't want to stay there. Tried for 3 days. Ended up at $ 55 which is more then half the price you would pay booking directly. Very nice! Period is 10/22-10/23/10 by the way.
  8. Very happy with my winning bid. Started at $50 for a 4*, area Providence Downtown. Bid rejected. Then $ 50 for a 3 1/2 *. Bid rejected. Finally tried $ 55 adding East Providence and Seekonk. Bid accepted. Turned out to be the Renaissance Providence. 4*, downtown and really the best hotel in Providence. Regular rate $ 199. See if our trip schedule allows us an extra night there?!
  9. I tried the same for exactly a week later. Prices are pretty high during that period because of the Quebec Summer Music festival or something like that. Went up to $ 100 for a 3 1/2 or 4* hotel, but failed. For a week I raised my offer with $ 5 every time starting at $ 70 and tried $ 100 a couple of days in a row. Then I decided that a 3* would be fine as well for the 2 nights. I didn't wanted to pay more than $ 100 a night. Ended up with this priceline winning bid paying $80 for the Best Western City Centre, which is a rather nice price for that hotel and period. Good luck bidding!
  10. Tried all options for more than a week. Started * 3 at $ 50. * 3,5 at $ 65 * 4 at $ 75. Higher bid ($5) every day. All bids rejected. Even $ 75 for a 3*, $ 100 for a 3,5 and 4*. Wanted a hotel not to far away from the city centre. Finally $ 80 for the Best Western, which isn't a bad price considering the events going on during the requested period. Last weekend of the Quebec Summer Festival.
  11. Started at $ 70 for a 4* and bid got rejected. After that bid an extra $5. Again no success for a 4*, but the 3,5 * was a hit. Very nice price, good hotel and great location.
  12. First attempt and kind of a wild bid since I knew the regular rates for the hotels in the area around the airport. Got accepted right away. Very nice! :)
  13. Just had my $ 80 bid accepted for a 4* hotel in the White House area. Turned out to be the Madison, A Loews hotel. First bid of $ 70 was refused, second was okay. Nice price for a 4,5* registered hotel.
