I saw that someone else got a 4* in French Quarter for $59, but they were staying mid-week. Since my stay included Fri night, I thought I would need to offer a bit more. Bid $65 and got The Westin on the first try. Thank you Better Bidding! :-)
I requested 3.5* for the Savannah Historic District at $60 and was rejected. I took it down to 3* for the same region and was rejected. Then I added the Midtown area to my request and it was accepted. Now I see that someone else got it for $42!! So I am a little disappointed. Hotel cost $60, taxes and fees are an additional $16 for a total of $76. I went to the hotel website and they are charging more like $115 including tax with the AAA card. So I still got a good deal. Just not as good as $42 - hahaha! Thanks Priceline and Hotwire Forum!
