Could you cancel it? This thing is a bit confusing. So if I get this right the cancellation option is only shown on the checkout page (Room type: Free Cancellation) but on the same page a bit below it says: ALL BOOKINGS ARE FINAL and cannot be cancelled, refunded, changed, exchanged, or transferred.

Just wanted to share my experience in regards to best price claims. I recently noticed that a hotel that I won was about 5 USD/night cheaper on agoda. So I filed a claim with PL and I didn't only get 100% of the difference but also an additional 20% of the corresponding retail rate. additionally I got a 20% coupon code for PRICELINE EXPRESS deals. can therefore only recommend to monitor the retail rates and file a claim. just be aware that screenshots get deleted when you email them. you have to attach a pdf or word doc with the screenshot. the claim can be filed until midnight the day before you travel.

Maybe the reason is that it has only a rating of 7.5/10 while Sodermalm has 8+ for 4*?

Hi, I have been trying to win a 4* in Sodermalm for a while now. Today at a bid of 100 USD I got a counteroffer for 126. I continued in 1 USD increments until 108 but I only got the same counter offer for 126. I'm hoping for the Hilton (but it could be the Clarion as well). What price do you think is realistic here? The Hilton is available for 145 +tax and the Clarion for 139 +tax. I have a backup reservation for the Courtyard Stockholm incl. breakfast for 118 USD (incl. tax).

In Italy it isn't included as it has to be paid directly to the hotel.

just a brief follow-up. be cautious with this hotel. we got a bad room right next to the elevators (i sent an email with the preferences a few days ahead of the arrival to avoid this and this has always worked) and the front desk would not change our room not even after complaining to the manager. we would have conversations like this: swan: we are fully booked until the end of the month me: so nobody is checking out tomorrow? swan: yes but we have 300 people checking in me: well that means 300 opportunities for changing the room swan: no we are fully booked and so on. only in the end after getting hold of the complex front office manager all incidentals (resort fee, parking etc) were taken off our bill. otherwise the front desk didn't do anything. the front desk has some arrogant and rude staff working there that i haven't seen before. i'm really shocked how they were laughing in our face and pretending to be gods or something...

update: i got a full refund for this one since the hotel is selling the room for 52 USD (incl. tax)
