  1. I bid $50 for 3.5 stars airport location and got rejected. I added Dearborn and bumped up to $55. I got the Hyatt Regency and was "upgraded" to 4*. I tried to follow the instructions to see what star levels are available for each zone, but the details of selecting a single zone and then just hitting "next" doesn't seem to be working. It is expecting you to enter prices and more information...
  2. Successfully bid 40 (total $51.59) on 1/24/11 for the Holiday Inn Express. 2.5 stars. No complaints on this hotel.
  3. Using HOTWIRE, I paid a little over $66 for Friday night at Best Western Midway here in Green Bay. I realized later that had I gone through the non-bidding version of PRICELINE, it would have been $62.47. Hotwire has their best price guarantee which is useless, since it refers to the before tax/fees price. Hotwire has jacked up the fees to cover their rear end. PRICELINE was have saved me some cash. The hotel is fine. The room is big, but the hotel unfortunately has a wing of non-smoking rooms with a few smoking rooms in the same wing. The result? The hallway has a disgusting bar-like odor, even though the majority of the rooms are non-smoking. They should really segregate the smokers by themselves where they don't have to annoy people.
