  5. I now need a hotel for the night of 20th April at Orlando Airport. Would like 3* but would prefer not to get the Florida Mall Hotel. Any ideas how to bid? Thanks :)
  6. Personally I have never stayed at the Regent Palace but do know that they have many rooms without ensuite facilities. In my experience(admitedly limited) of hotels in London Iwould not consder staying in a 3* anywhere there unless I knew the name of the hotel and was able to do some research. 3* in London is not like ANY 3*I have stayed at in the States.I would say that lots of 4* in London are more like 3*in the US. BTW I have just stayed at the Cavendish St James Hotel in the Piccadily Mayfair area. Very nice and would recommend it to anyone. Lovely hotel and in a great position for the West End and Theatres. I never did get a reply from Priceline in answer to my question about ratings. Sent 2 emails. When I have time I intend to look further at the ratings of the two sites.
  7. I have used Hotelclub several times over the last couple of years. Some of their hotels are on a request basis. Some are bookable immediately. I have had hotels on a request basis and been offered alternative hotels if my choice has notbeen available. Although you are under no obligation to take there recommendation. Most recently I stayed in London this weekend having reserved a room from them. No problems. Room and breakfast
  8. While researching a hotel in Kaanapali I discovered that PricelineUK rate the Royal Lahaina Resort as 4* in their packages. Priceline.com rate this same hotel as a 3*. I have emailed their customer service twice but they keep dodging the issue giving me replies to questions I didnt ask. Am now waiting for a reply to my 3rd email. Anyone using the UK site may need to check both sites package options to ascertain the ratings or end up with a hotel they didnt want.
  9. Hi am looking for a resort hotel inKaanapali for 4 nights 4/8 til 4/12. Presently got a reservation at the Westin for 286$. Any idea how much I would have to bid to win one of the three there? Would like to get one for 200$/220$ Is this feasible do you think. Only the Hyatt is available through the .com site but the Sheraton and Westin are available on the .uk site not the Hyatt. Thanks
  10. Forgot to say.Interestingly I bid 100$ and got the message to increase the bid by 21$ without using a rebid zone. Decided to use a rebid and up it by 8$ and got it!
  11. Thanks Thereuare got the Hawaii Prince for equivalent of 108$. Great. Couldnt use the .com site just wouldnt accept address or phone number anyway. Pity you dont have a link to the UK site I have recommended this site to lots of my friends who would use it. Thanks again :)
  12. Yes had hoped to get it for about 100$, but would pay up to about 120$. Is this feasible do you think?
  13. Hi would like to bid for 4* Waikiki North hope to get the Waikiki Prince. Or for 4* Waikiki South hope to get the Marriott beach. I would be bidding for two rooms for 4 nights 4/4 til 4/8 Could you suggest bidding strategy please. Also as I will be using Priceline UK have you got a link I can use so that you get the kudos for using the site. Not able to use .com from the UK. Thanks for your help
  14. Hi bbbb Good to see that you got the Westin for 200$. I want 2 rooms for 4 nights in April and the rate is 248$. Direct it is 286$ so have booked 2 cancellable rooms. Hoping that nearer the time the rate may drop. Well maybe. Cant use Priceline as am a uk resident. Will keep watching
  15. Thanks for that. I forget sometimes that we use a different format for dates. I agree that the hotel we are now seeing is probably the Westin. Earlier today when I checked I was offered a different hotel which included the laundry icon and wasnt described as customer favourite. The price I got from the Westin averages out at 273$ So will just wait to see what happen with the Hotwire rates. Have cleaned my cookies thanks for the advice Thereuare
  16. Continuing the above I have been looking at a 4.5* resort on Hotwire for 8/4 for 4 nights. Over a period of time they have been offering Customer favourite with amenities Resort,Beachfront,Restaurant,Pool,FitnessCentre,Spa,Childrens Activites,Golf,Tennis and Business for 200/250$. I think this is the Westin. Today that option has gone and another 4.5* has appeared with all of the above and laundry facilities. This is not listed as scustomer favourite. The price is 333$! I think this is the Hyatt. Their own website prepaid rate for that time is 305$. I have made a cancellable reservation for 286$ for 2 nights and 260$ for 2 nights at the Westin SPG rate. Waiting to see if Hotwire go down.
  17. Has anyone had any experience of priceline uk? After doing package searches on uk and .com for 8 April for 4 nights the hotels offered are different. Also uk rates Royal Lahaina resort as 4*. Was going to try again for resort in Maui on Priceline but dont want to be given Royal Lahaina. Otherwise will have to go through Hotwire. The price has gone up to 225$ from 200$. Ah well as they say 'if you snooze you lose'. Any imput would be appreciated.
