Now that has disappeared and there is another suite but 3*. On researching from previous questions I am thinking its Beekman Tower?? I see that most people think that is out of the way a little........so I am still between what is showing on hotwire which you think is Crowne Plaza and the link for the Sheraton Towers.....in your view which would be the best choice. Thanks a lot for all the info. I really wanted Embassy Suites but the family did not want to find another hotel for the one night!!

Hi everyone well a suite became available on HOTWIRE just which would be great. The price is certainly getting up ther though, but I think I am getting accustomed to seeing $$$! Hi Aaron Thanks for your imput- yes that is what worries me with PL. Our daughter would have a fit is she did not have a bed. She is at an age where these things are important. The date is getting closer and right now the only thing I can find is the one on Hotwire that you think would be a match for Crowne Plaza and the Sheraton Towers using the link you kindly gave me......If it came down to these 2 which would be the best bet for us? Having never been to NY we will be wanting to do all the tourist things! I see cheaper hotels in Flushing, but is that too far out?? I will be wanting to book something within the next few days as I dont have a back up hotel (as I cant find one with a rate that I would pay!!)..... Many thanks for any help

Hope I am not being a pest here. I looked at the Murray Suites and was not keen. There is another hotel which I would like help on. I am thinking it may be Sheraton Towers but want another opinion. So same dates 11/8-11/11 for 3 people. 3.5 * Times Sq/Theatre District $259 fitness center, business, restaurant and high speed internet..... Any help would be great.... I would really like to try PL but I am concerned about having a 3rd person in the room. Any opinions on that would be helpful too....... BTW we are arriving from JFK - any info on getting from the airport without using a cab would also be welcome.....Many thanks.

Hi Aaron thanks for the imput. Yes I know that the rates are a little varied. I have to admit that I got sticker shock when I looked at staying those dates. I was hoping to get something for no more than $200 per night. Is that unrealistic? I was wondering about doing PL and starting at a bid of about $145 as I have seen some winning bids just over that amount (but not for my exact dates!).........When I saw staying for $99 in Jamaica I wondered how inconvenient that would be. We dont mind walking and using transport as long as its safe....Susan

Travelling with husband and teenager from LAX to JFK. Never been to NY before so we are excited. On Hotwire there are 2 hotels which i woudl like help with. 2.5* Jamaica $99, shuttle, complimentary breakfast, fitness center, high spped internet. 4* SoHo $242, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet. Firstly any guesses what these hotels are? Also, I noticed on researching hotels that some of the rooms are only for 2 people. Any suggestions on whether Hotwire or PL would work for 3 of us as we would need 2 beds???? Also, having never been to NY what areas are safe to stay in on the outskirts. We will not be hiring a car, so using public transport. i.e. is Brooklyn easy to get into the tourist attractions from? ANY, any help will be much appreciated.

Westshore/TPA Dates 8/16 for one night. Have the following and would like help in trying to workout which hotels they may be. 2* $63 Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, High speed Internet 2.5* $76 Suite, Shuttle, Pool, High speed Internet, Tennis nearby, kitchenette As this is just one night I am trying to keep the costs down as we do not arrive until very late evening and depart for cruise next morning. Biggest help would be airport shuttle and complimentary breakfast. Any help I would be grateful as ready to go ahead and book ASAP.

Finally booked flights to arrive in Tampa. Arriving 10pm (will shuttes normally pick up late at night??)!! Saw this hotel and would like help mathcing what hotel it could be. Thanks for the rsponse and help identifying. For some reason I must have thought there was a shuttle but upon checking HOTWIRE again I see th same amenities as you. The price in the week was $39 and now $42 but I am thinking that this is a great price for the Hyatt??? Will post my findings! I have to finalize our trip arrangements. The hotel will be pre-cruise flying in very late on the Friday, have the Saturday free and then the cruise leaves Sunday.

Started at $70 then $74, $76 and had bid accepted at $78 for Burnaby zone. Ended up in New Westminster at the Inn at Westminster Quay. Not where we wanted but we shall make the best of it. Wanted to get Holiday Inn or Hilton at Metrotown. Have beed bidding for over 2 months for 3* (upto $80) and 4* (upto $115) downtown Vancouver but no luck.

Well I am disappointed. After bidding for months and looking at the forum I noted that Hilton Metrotown, Burnaby came up as a 3* for abouy $70 per night. So yesterday I changed tactics and bid 3* and 4* also including Burnaby which I had not done before. All bids had been rejected previous to adding this zone. My bidding history was starting at $75 and increased the bid by $1. It was accepted for 8/17 - 8/21 at $79. However it is at the Lonsdale Quay Hotel in North Vancouver. I dont think I realized I would get this hotel and scrolling through pages and pages on the forum I dont think I ever saw anyone get this hotel. I looked on tripadvisor and saw terrible reviews. My husband is truly mad with me as he says this will be so awkward. We are leaving Canada Place for a cruise on Monday 8/21 and was planning on picking up a car when we arrive at Vancouver International. Anyone have any ideas on the logistics, or any info on the hotel or area? How bad will it be getting across the bridge into downtown etc etc. Thanks for any advice in my hour of disappointment! :)

Hi The amenities that I have listed were the only ones that were showing, but now the hotel is gone completely and as you say there is one at $174 but that was also there earlier. Seems that went quickly! Maybe I should have booked it. I did do PL 4* upto $95 but was rejected.

This came up today on Hotwire: My dates are 8/17 to 8/21. I have bidding for a long time on Priceline upto $90 with no success. My question is which hotel do you think this could be and being as it is showing at a rate of $117 what success do you think I could get a lower price than this on Priceline now. I have been bidding on 3* and 4* for the last 2 months for Downtown Vancouver and have nothing accepted. My max bid for 3* was $90 and 4* $115. My dates are 8/17 - 8/21. Good luck to you. I am still trying every day!

Hi On Hotwire 8/17-8/21/06 3* North Vancouver: $93 Boutique, ocean front, restaurant, fitness center, high speed internet, laundry facility. Can you help identify this hotel for me. I have been trying for the last few weeks to get a 4* on PL and have bid upto $100 with no luck. Have the Holiday Inn, Burnaby on hold as a backup though. Hi I thought the same except that there is no kitchenette in the Holiday Inn descriptions on any web site. The only 3 * that I can find with this amenity is a Best Western that seems to be a 2* on many other sites. Any clue if Hotwire has Best Westerns as I did not like the look of this place........I have made a cancelable back up booking at The Holiday Inn before I saw this on Hotwire.....

It is saying it is $66 per night and has the following amenities: pool, comp breakfast, fitness center, kitchenette, high speed internet, business center, laundry facility. Any clue what this would match for as this may be the way for us to go.
