  1. Hi all,

While there were several hotels listed that fit this description on the Canada - Hotwire list, I didn't recall seeing this one.

    The amenities listed were:

    Airport Shuttle

    Fitness Center

    Pool(s)

    Restaurant(s)

    Business Center

    High-Speed Internet Access

It was recommended by 90% of Hotwire users.

The price was $56 for the Toronto Airport East 3*

The hotel is Hotel Indigo Toronto Airport on Carlingview Drive, Etobicoke.

Hope this info helps someone in the future.

  2. Recent win at this hotel again... Yay!

    $49 plus tax, 2.5 * for Thurs Jan 6, 2011.

The same amenities listed as before. Business, Internet and Fitness Center.

thereuare, one thing to note.... on your New York Hotwire list of hotels, this hotel is listed as a 3*, however the both times we've booked on Hotwire, this has been a 2.5*. I think this is a key piece of info to help narrow down this hotel. Would you consider updating the New York list?

    Thanks!

  3. Hello everyone, we are a young group of students and are planning to visit Montreal for a change as part of our vacation plan. We have gathered the necessary information about the place and have a schedule for the trip. But, we would like to take any last minute advices if possible to make sure everything is covered. Please provide us with your suggestions on this.

    Hi Sabrina!

Montreal is a GREAT city! When are you visiting and what kind of information are you looking for? Hotel suggestions, things to see and do, etc?

  4. Not to be confused with other Quality hotels in the area, this one is located on Islington right off the 401.

    2.5*

Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access

    Ugh! Thumbs down!

While the location is good and easy to find, there wasn't really any other redeeming qualities to this hotel.

We approached the front desk to watch the two clerks argue over which would actually serve the patrons in front of them. Then proceeded to get the Hotwire attitude when we were asked what kind of room we wanted ("You can't get a King with Hotwire!")

The room we did end up in was typical - except for the bed. Most dreadful thing I've ever slept on in my life! Not sure if they reserve these lumpy, sagging pieces of garbage for their esteemed Hotwire guests only or what?!

No listing of amenities, etc in the hotel room. No idea what options existed for breakfast. Upon check-out the following morning, we asked the unhelpful front desk clerk about a breakfast buffet we saw advertised in the hotel elevator only to be told "Well, that's not on today, but you can go to the restaurant and I think breakfast is served until 10:30."

Hotwire rate or not, I wouldn't want to pay to stay here again!

  5. Stayed at this hotel on Oct 18, 2010... what a gem!

2.5 * and the amenities listed were Fitness Center, Business Center, Restaurant. Check-in time was 5pm but check-out wasn't until noon.

The location is PERFECT! Right at the intersection of I-90 and Hwy 81. You could see it right from I-90.

This hotel looks to have undergone renovations not too long ago as the front of the hotel was quite modern looking. There has also been a pool added which was not listed in the amenities.

The front desk staff were friendly and polite and eagerly exchanged our room when we encountered a problem (tv in our room wouldn't work). We were also given complimentary breakfast buffet tickets at check-in.

The guest rooms themselves were decent and pretty standard. The bed could use upgrading as it squeaked and the mattress was starting to sink in the middle. One nice perk was a lazy boy recliner for the chair. Standard desk area. Free WIFI. I loved that they had a makeup removal towelette and mouthwash in the bathroom.

The complimentary breakfast buffet had good selection and the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive.

The pool was great! All one depth (4ft) but located away from the guest rooms so noise from the pool wouldn't interfere with guests. Also a fitness room and restrooms and change rooms.

This hotel seemed to have quite a few convention rooms for business, weddings, etc. They cater to business as well as leisure guests.

It wouldn't surprise me if this hotel's star rating was upgraded in the future. We definitely didn't feel we were staying at a 2.5*.

Great little place! We'd be willing to stay there even without a Hotwire deal.

  6. We stayed at the Yorkland Hotel in North York, Ontario on Saturday April 17, 2010.

The hotel I believe came up as a 3* or 3.5* in the Don Valley area of Toronto. While north of the 401, the hotel is very close to the DVP.

The hotel itself appears to be a converted Wyndham hotel. While it is classed as a 3*, the amenities were very pleasant and we felt we were staying at a 4*.

My only complaint would be the pool, which was due for some maintenance (some tiles around the edge were missing and the pool liner was obviously too big/loose. It appears according to the website that this is currently under renovations.

  7. Wow, I'm surprised that the Holiday Inn Express is a 2*. It seems higher than that. Very nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff, etc. I've had some friends stay there with very high reviews.

I'm sorry to say that I can't offer any help with determining if this is your deal though. So many of the amenities are similar to other hotels in town.

As a Gan resident, I've never stayed at the Quality Inn, but from what I hear it isn't too bad. Comfort Inn doesn't seem too bad either.

The Ramada seems overrated as a 3*.

    Good luck!

  8. I recently booked a stay through Hotwire for a 3* Toronto East priced at $92/night with the following amenities listed

    Fitness Center

    Pool(s)

    Restaurant(s)

    Business Center

    Laundry Facilities

    High-speed Internet Access

    Spa Services

We stayed here on Saturday Sept. 19, 2009.

The hotel was easy to find on Yonge St although traffic in the city can be unpredictable. We opted to use the valet parking for $30/day with unlimited in and out privileges rather than searching for nearby parking.

No complaints whatsoever about the hotel itself. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel was in good repair and the common areas and rooms were clean and bright. This would be an ideal location for business travellers or couples as the hotel was quiet and with many amenities. The pool on the lower level is small (basically a lap pool, I'd say) with a nearby jacuzzi. While we did not use the fitness center, it was right beside the pool and seemed to have modern equipment and there were people using the treadmills and machines. The hotel room itself was quite pleasant. We didn't have occasion to try to LCD tv or the free high-speed Internet, but we found it nice that these features were available. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long time. We had a GREAT sleep! With the curtains drawn the room was nice and dark and there was no noise.

The location of the hotel itself was right on Yonge St and one block from the College subway. There are several stores and coffee shops less than a block away.

All in all, a good deal and an enjoyable stay. Two thumbs up from me.
