4 star Chicago Millenium Park - Loop - Grant Park $125 sept 28-29th

Have you guys noticed that HOTWIRE is now telling you what the last hotel booked was for each deal? Are people finding this accurate? I ask because I am watching the same hotel from above (4 star in Loop/Theater District) and it will say for a 4 star with 90% approval that the Crowne Plaza was last booked. Then when I check back an hour later a 4 star loop/theater district with an 80% approval that once again the Crowne Plaza was last booked? Are they trying to trick us????

Appears to be a very expensive weekend (sept 28th) in Chicago? I can usually get something $80-$100 (sometimes as low as $60) for a 4 star in loop or mag mile. No luck so far and I've gone up to $140 on PRICELINE for a 4 star in those areas. I might just play the waiting game and hope prices go down. I would love to keep it around $125 or less for a 4 star.

This hotel is in hotel zone / convention center. Any ideas? The 4.5. Out of 5 on trip advisor makes me think it's riu las Americas. Your thoughts. We are looking to book immediately!

4 star chicago north mich ave/water tower/river north drake hotel $82 march 3-4

went up to $90 in the north mich ave area and got rejected. tried Loop area at $65 and my first bid was accepted at the Hyatt!

just got Hyatt in Grant Park/Loop for $75 for the night of 9/11/10

Just got Sir Francis Drake 3.5 star USE $120 August 7-11 was hoping for a 4 star in the $100 range but wasn't patient enough.

i would like to be around $100 a night or less based on what i've seen others get 4 star hotels for. would like to stay in either fishermans wharf, nob hill. union sq, financial dist, or soma. each day i start at $85 and go up in $5 increments by manipulating all the locations that aren't 4 star. i have made it up to $120 and have got nothing so far. any suggestions?

trying to get get a room in san fran 8/7-8/11. have gone all the way up to $120 for a 4 star and 3.5 star but no luck. is there a big event/convention that weekend or week? i usually see rooms going for $85-$100 for a 4 star in nob hill, union sq, soma, financial dist. can anyone help? thanks also - how have the 3 star hotels faired in these areas?? are people generally happy with them?
