After I won, I've been in contact with hotel's reservations department. They have been incredibly helpful and very very prompt in returning e-mails. They did mention that Hotwire guests will be placed in a double-bed, city-view room on floors 3-9. If any available ocean view or mountain view rooms are available when I check-in they will give me a free upgrade, otherwise I can pay $20/night for a mountain view or $40/night for an ocean view and be guranteed one of those two rooms. They also mentioned that since it will be our honeymoon, the hotel will be presenting us with a certificate upon check-in to help celebrate our honeymoon with a choice of a complimentry bottle champagne or a pitcher of Mai Tai that we can redeem at our poolside bar! :)

Ideally I'd like to be under $150/night (not including tax, fees). I'm also up for suggestions up to $200/night. Thanks!!

Ok now that we've booked Honolulu via Hotwire through savingsbarn.com, I'm ready to book the 2nd half of the Honeymoon to Hawaii. We'll be spending the rest of the time on the island of Maui. :) Dates: Friday-July 7th through Thursday- July 13th Preferable Star Rating: 3 Stars or above Preferable Location: Kaanapali or nearby area I will be willing to split up the stay if needed. The deal was successful and using Bally's "Best Rate Plus Guarantee" I got a GREAT DEAL for 4 nights in Vegas. April 6-10 (Thursday-Monday). Here's how I did it: 1.) Booked a room on Bally's website for $725.94 2.) Found a standard room for $571.74 on www.sidestep.com 3.) Submitted the claim to Bally's, using the Best Rate Plus Guarantee 4.) Bally's matched the price and took off another 25%. TOTAL COST: $428.81 for 4 nights. Average cost per night of: $107.20 I'm very happy! :)...Now I just need to book 1 more room for friends that will also be meeting us in Vegas for my Bachelor Party!

I found a better deal using www.sidestep.com, which linked to reservations.worldres.com to book the hotel. Bally's will match the price plus discount an additional 25% off the lower rate.

I'm also currently bidding for this weekend and looking for a 4-Star on the strip! It's a tough weekend, all around. I've already had bid up to $115 for 4-STAR with no luck and I've used my 2 re-bids. Are you considering any options besides Priceline? Have you considered Hotwire? How about booking through the hotels directly?

I'm just curious as the Hotel in Downtown Tampa for $190 (December 30th through January 1st) 3.5 Stars Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Business Center, Pool(s), High-speed Internet Access. I'm pretty sure this is NOT the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk hotel, because I know that hotel does not have hot-tub. I'm guessing it is either Wyndham Harbour Island Hotel or Hyatt Regency - Downtown Tampa. Customer Review: ""We loved the hot tub and pool. It was easy to get around on the trolley. Getting to the port for our cruise was easy too. I would recommend this hotel." Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!!

Is there any chance this could be the Belleview Biltmore Resort in Clearwater?

I decided to go for the whole stay right away. (Dec 30th through Jan 3rd). Any succesful bids during the time-frame I'm looking at for any 3.5 star or 3 star properties? I do have a back-up reservation booked that I will be able to cancel. My back-up right now is the Sheraton Riverwalk (Downtown Tampa)- 3-star. Price is $179/night (Dec 30 - Jan 1)

Thanks for your help! You may remember me from last year at this time! It's college bowl season again the Hawkeyes are headed to Tampa for the Outback Bowl. Last year was Orlando and the Peabody :) and the Double-Difference Hotwire gurantee! I will also use your link to place my bid, if you could include that in the reply. Ok, first regarding splitting my bid, I'm fine with that, actually would prefer that. I'm very comfortable with all 4-Star Hotels in the Tampa area. Right now, my maximum bid would probably be $125/night.

Well I spoke with Hotwire again and they said the request for the Double the Difference Gurantee did go through and they refund the money back to my credit-card! That really makes my day!! A hint to anyone that wishes to do the Double the Difference Gurantee, make sure that you print everything out and keep a record of everyone you spoke with.
