Downtown San Diego, horton plaza and especially the gaslamp district are great. Please visit your parents soon and go to the gaslamp on a Friday or Saturday night, everyone thats anybody is there, a fun crowd of all ages, it will change your mind. Noone that has been on the gaslamp could ever think is Boring. I love staying anywhere downtown in walking distance of the gaslamp quarter. San Diego is great from la jolla to mission bay to coronado. But TJ, please, it just makes me thank god I was born in America and for a moment really appreciate all I have.

Very nice hotel. Room was in a two story building, not in the main 16 story tower, on the second floor overlooking the garden. At checkin, was offered a ocean view room on the 15 floor for $30 more. Rooms on the other side of the 2 story building, might only have a view of the parking lot, which would not be as nice. The grounds and pool are well maintained and its quite a nice setting. The room was well furnished, nicely decorated, clean and the service was good. I will stay again at the Hyatt Islandia.

Hotwire Hotel Listed as San Diego Mission Bay - Seaworld 3.5* Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business Center, SPA Is the Hyatt Regency Islandia for $100 a night. Not bad, stayed there before, but not what i thought it was nor what i wanted, would have payed more for something else, but its the chance you take to save money. We need to get this site to critical mass, we could know every hotel and then using hotwire would be better for all.

I used the package search, which shows the hotel name. Bahia is listed as 3* with Beach access Catamaran is listed as 3.5* without any beach or ocean amenity listed. My wife has stayed at the Catamaran and the property is on the Bay with a beach and is a very short walk to the ocean. Can't figure the lack of any beach reference on the amenities. Its also a nice place for a family. Thanks for the help

Does anyone know what Hotel is the 4* San Diego Mission Bay - Sea World $83 on Hotwire for 6/4/03 - 6/5/03. Amenities listed: Beachfront, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Tennis, Laundry If i can figure it out, I may just choose the 3.5* which I think is the Catamaran. Also, since i am posting, i am curious about: San Deigo 4* La Jolla - Pacific Beach Amenities: Oceanfront(No beach access), Pool, Breakfast, Inernet, Business Center, Laundry
