I searched RefundableRates.com for 3-star Hotels in the IAH area ... then took 60% of that price and used that as my bidding rate. Won the Holiday Inn Houston Intercontinental for $56 ... $71.04 after fees and taxes. Thanks! :D I did use the PRICELINE links in this forum.

Used PRICELINE link at this site. First bid of $75 was rejected. Increase search area and dropped bid to $70 and got this very nice property. (Rack rate $119) Location is perfect for Clearlake, Kemah activities. Hotel is clean with upscale furnishings. Our room was comfortable & spacious complete with microwave and refrigerator. Staff were nice and courteous. Complementary WIFI and breakfast as well as free parking. Many restaurant establishments within walking distance. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream also in the strip next door to finish off your meal.

Have won this hotel in the past. Used PRICELINE link on this site. First bid of $54 was rejected, but priceline gave me a "one-time" offer allowing me to increase my bid to $64 with no other changes required on my bid. After careful consideration, I decided I could win the room for $60. I added another zone to my offer that did not have a 4-star hotel in it ... and won the $60 bid on the second try!

Using info and PRICELINE link from this site ... won my first bid for this very nice property. Two nights with taxes and fees came to only $134.20 excluding parking. Another great value made possible by using this forum and priceline. :D

Was hoping to get the Le Meridien. Have stayed there before and loved it. Referenced this site first ... clicked on PRICELINE link in the forum ... and got my deal on the first try! Thanks ... love this site!

Used the PRICELINE link at this site. Really tried to get the Le Meridien ... bidding $44 and adding additional areas after refusing their offer to increase my bid to $59. No luck after multiple attempts ... so I finally increased my bid from $48 to $50, knowing I would get the Hilton Lincoln Centre. Sure enough ... the bid was accepted. Hope we are not as disappointed as some patrons have been as you can read on Tripadvisor. Thanks for the information that led to a fantastic deal on a (hopefully) very nice property.

After years of hotel bookings through priceline, we also were very disappointed with the Emily Morgan. The bed is so small it will barely accomodate two adults. You definately want to avoid this hotel property at all cost ... even if you have to avoid using priceline for downtown SA. Other than this bad experience, I use priceline and betterbidding as often as I can.

First bid for 4* in Galleria area for $45 was rejected ... with option to add $13 to my original bid. I knew from past experience this would guarantee my bid's acceptance, but was determined to get my room under $60 total cost. Tryed again, same location, same price, with a downgrade to 3-1/2 stars. Bid was accepted! Another great deal on a very nice hotel. Thank you betterbidding forum for continually helpful tips and communication.

First bid $40, declined. Prompted to raise bid by $12. Accepted the tip, got the room!

Thanks to Betterbidding, I won the 4* (according to priceline) Le Meridien Dallas North for $40 per night for 3 nights 9/4 - 9/7 ... on the first bid. In addition to section #10, I also had sections #16 & #14 chosen on the priceline area map. Thanks to the information on this site, I had the audacity to bid so ridiculously low!
