  1. I got this great deal on PRICELINE via the link. Total for 4 nights is $365. $80 per night plus taxes. Reviews seem nice on Tripadvisor. Going with friends to San Juan and expect to have a blast there. I will book a rental caar via PRICELINE and will let the forum know about the deal i get in the coming days.
  2. i bid on a compact car in San Juan, PR from Jan 4-5 and got a compact car in National for $45 total price. Bid 7pm, picked up at 11pm and dropped at 8am. Just a quick overnight connection. I am happy with this deal.
  3. I got this hotel at a great deal on PRICELINE. Total of $52. I night stay. Great deal!!!! I got this hotel last minute because my hotel on Jan 1st was oversold and they could not provide me with early check in and until 4pm, so i decided to get this cheap deal in order to put my head to rest a couple of hours after the big new year bash in Miami. This forum is awesome, so is PRICELINE!!
  4. I got a Compact Car for $30 per day for 4 days in the Miami area, picking up the rental car in FLL Airport at 12:05am on Jan 01 and returning it in Miami Airport at 7pm on Jan 4. Total charges including taxes $172.50. Pretty good deal since i had booked the cheapest car for those dates in Enterprise for $215.
  5. I submitted this request via the PRICELINE link provided in this forum. Got this hotel: DoubleTree Miami Mart in the MIA Aiport area. Previous guest, so i am familiar with it and like it very much. Price per night was $60 plus taxes for 3 nights: $213.57. Reviews in TripAdvisor seem nice as always :)
  6. Hey Taradise. Congrats! You got the Hyatt!! It was nice they confirmed your bedding requests. Go to Tripadvisor.com and read the reviews of the hotel. There is a lot of valuable information and also candid pictures and videos taken by past and recent guests. Good luck on your post-cruise stay. Try South Beach for good nightlife and fun, beach and activities.
  7. Based on the forum moderator's guess, you can also call the Hyatt or the Intercontinental in Miami and ask for front desk and inquire about the room's maximum occupancy. Based on their answer, you can explain your case to the hotel's clerk and maybe they will allow you to stay all 4 in one room. That could be an option. Call and let us know and if the answer is positive go to Hotwire (via this page link) and grab that catch immediately! Good luck.
  8. I personally think that it makes no difference, because you are getting ocuppation for 4 people. Maybe the 4* is not coming up for 4 adults because many hotels have a maximum allowance of 3 adults, but since you can call the hotel and make your own arrangements prior to arrival, you may get the hotel's GO for the occupancy. If you are just staying for 1 night, Why don't you search Hotwire for 2 rooms in a 3.5* property? You may get a good deal at $59-69 range. Give it a try!
  9. I would definetely recommend you to bid on the Universal/Sea World areas, since most hotels offer free parking and you can get any 3-3.5* hotels for $50 in average. Also it is pretty easy to get around there, and you wiill have lots of options for dining, shopping and entertainment. Good luck.
  10. I booked via the PRICELINE link. I tried several areas including Aventura, MIA Airport, Coral Gables and North Miami without success. I bid $40-$48 range and got nothing at all times. I lastly decided to include in my search the Miami West area and ended up with this hotel. It is new, built in 2008 and pictures in hote's webiste seem nice. Total for 2 nights is $110. Seems like the 3.5+ stars are really expensive for December.
  11. You must be really crazy if you do not intend to rent a car in Miami, specially if you are intending to stay 3 nights. In Priceline you can get a compact or intermediate car for $30-40 a day, so just think about taking a cab everywhere you want to move. It really adds up and eats all previous savings.
  12. I used the PRICELINE link to book this hotel. Added MIA airport area, Coral Gables and Aventura. Bid $60 and got the Staybridge Suites Miami Airport West. Total with taxes for 3 nights is $213.51. I think it is a good deal since for new year everything is booked and very expensive. Read the reviews in TripAdvisor and seems to be a very good hotel.
  13. Bid on zone of Universal Studios/Sea World. Ended up with the Wyndham Resort on International Drive in Orlando, Florida. My first bid went for $45 per night on a 3.5 upscale hotel. Property seems nice according to Tripadvisor previous guests reviews. Location is perfect and close to everything in Orlando. Previously got the Hilton Garden Inn in May. I will be staying from Nov 7-10, 2009. Used the PRICELINE link to begin my purchase.
  14. You better keep trying up to the last minute or until your cancellable reservation deadline approaches. PRICELINE can get you a room but you need to expand your areas in Manhattan. Check all that apply and are centrally located. From 96st and under is a good area and you might grab a good deal. Try bidding 3 stars and up. Good luck.
  15. I think you should raise it to above $150 or change the hotel category to a 3.5 star, which is still good in NYC. Try many areas in the bid to ample your options. Good luck. Please share the outcome with all of us.
  16. Bid via the PRICELINE link for a 2 night stay in NYC. Got the Roosevelt Hotel NY. Price per night was $125, for a total of $306. Asked for a 3 star hotel but Priceline apparently made me an upgrade in the hotel category to a 3.5 star. Reviews in Tripadvisor seem fantastic so i can't wait to stay in this hotel. Location is superb and rooms and facilities appear in excellent condition.
  17. Hi. Check my post on a hotel i got via Priceline. Here is my post: Priceline Hyatt Place Secaucus I got the Hyatt Place in Secaucus for $60 a night. Just in front of the hotel is the 320 bus which goes in 15 mins to Port Authority Bus Terminal from the hotel. Try the PRICELINE link in this website and choose the Secaucus area or Hoboken or Weehawken. Good luck. After you get your hotel, read the reviews in Tripadvisor.
  18. Hello All. I got the Holiday Inn Select Montreal Downtown Convention Centre. It is right next to Chinatown and 3 blocks away from Old Montreal. Also it is in front of the Place D'Armes subway station, within walking distance of many attractions. I am really happy with the selection Priceline did for me.
  19. I recently bid on Priceline for a hotel in NYC but prices were over my budget. Friends told me about staying in NJ in the front shore of Manhattan, i. e. Hoboken, Edgewater, Weehawken, Secaucus. I placed my bid on PRICELINE for $60 on a 3 star hotel and what a pleaseant surprise i got: The Hyatt Place Secaucus, an excellent hotel!! I read the reviews in Tripadvisor and my choice could not have been better. For 3 nights i will be paying $216 in total. That is a deal!! A bus stop is in front of the hotel, you just hop on it and in 15 minutes you arrive in Port Authority Bus Terminal. How great is that??? I must recommend Priceline to everyone and advise them to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links in the top of this page. Regards.
  20. I recently bid on PRICELINE for my 3 night stay in Montreal. I submitted $70 in the Downtown area and i got the Holiday Inn Downtown next to Chinatown and Old Montreal. I read the reviews in Tripadvisor and the hotel seems very nice and close to everything. For some reason, hotel rates for this season are higher than usual. I tried bidding before on $50 and $60 and got nothing. Thanksfully, i got a good hotel and expect to have a pleaseant stay during my Montreal visit.
