  1. I was searching for 3 star hotels in the Grant Park area and River North. Nothing was coming up, i was bidding up to $48 and got rejected several times, even though going down to 2 star hotels. I opened a new window and started a new search. I was actually upgraded to 3.5* from 3*. Got this hotel in the River North area for $55 per night. Total for 3 nights totaled $199.50. Reviews seem nice in Tripadvisor. I did my search using the PRICELINE link provided in this forum. Thanks.
  2. I helped my sister using Priceline for her first time and she wanted to stay in the downtown area in LA. She got the Marriott Downtown area for $60 per night. Total for 3 night totaled $215.50. Location is central and close to everything she needed. Reviews seem nice in Tripadvisor. She did her bid using the PRICELINE link provided in this forum. Thanks.
  3. Got this hotel in Long Island City area for $60 per night. Tried all areas in Manhattan up $75 per night for 3* and 2* and nothing was coming up. Did a second search only selecting Long Island City and got the Fairfield Inn. I am happy with the result. Just 10 mins by subway from Manhattan, and from the hotel you have city view. Total for 5 nightS totaled $367.50. Reviews seem nice in Tripadvisor. I did my search using the PRICELINE link provided in this forum. Thanks.
  4. Got this hotel in the Convention Center area for $145 per night. Total for 1 night totaled $177.50. Location is just in front of Penn Station and MSG. Reviews seem nice in Tripadvisor. I did my search using the PRICELINE link provided in this forum. Thanks.
  5. The hotel is the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center Hotel and Casino. The amenities where the same shown in the Hotwire Hotels List for this hotel. 4 in total. Golf, Smoke Free Rooms, etc.. I guessed it and that is why i purchased the hotel through Hotwire.
  6. I purchased through Hotwire a 1 night stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Total came to $131 with taxes and fees. First time using HOTWIRE. Nothing was coming up on PRICELINE for this stay, even at $125 per night for a 3 star hotel.
  7. A group of friends used PRICELINE for an overnight stay at the FLL Airport. Bid was $50 for the night and got the Courtyard by Marriott FLL Airport. Total with taxes came to $63.00 I wanted to share this win so the board could be informed.
  8. A encouraged a group of friends to use PRICELINE for their vacation in Orlando next week. I assisted them in the reservation and they chose a Resort for their stay close to Disney. Bid was $90 per night for 4 nights and got the Omni at Champions Gate. Total with taxes came to $419.00 for 1 room. Property seems awesome and they are happy with the selection PRICELINE made for them. I wanted to share this win so the board could be informed.
  9. I booked a hotel through the PRICELINE link and first bid $85 for a 3.5 star and was rejected. Then added a 3 star and bid $80 per night and got the Courtyard, which is a very good hotel for the price. Normal price for the stay is $189 per night, so this was a mega deal that i found through PRICELINE. Total with taxes came to $457.00. I am going to San Juan on business and always like to hang out there on the weekends.
  10. Buddy, if you want yo stay in a resort, bid over $75. If you want a 3.5 star plus, bid on $55+. Good luck and let the board know the outcome. Thanks.
  11. I think that for $96 per night included taxes in a resort like the Hyatt Grand Cypress makes it a steal... They property seems terrific. Getting this kind of upgrade is valuable. If you are not satisfied i think you can call Priceline and complain that you did not ask for a resort, but i don't think it is worth it. Take into consideration all the pluses.
  12. I bid on this property for a quick visit to Orlando over 3 nights. This time i wanted to stay in a resort. Bidding started at $70 with no luck. Had to add re-zones bid and finally got accepted at the Hilton Bonnet Creek at $90 per night. Total came to $316 with taxes and fees. No resort fee in this property is a big plus. Parking is expensive but they offer free shuttle to and from the Disney Theme Parks. I used the PRICELINE link to start my purchase. Thanks.
  13. I got this reservation for family visiting Santo Domingo for 5 nights. This is a great deal considering the normal rate for these days. Total came for $1,065.00 including taxes. Location is ideal and centrical in Santo Domingo, Dominican Rep.
  14. It was the Residence Inn Miami Airport South, in the same complex where the Marriott, the Courtyard and Fairfield Inn are.
  15. At the last minute got this hotel for an stay next sunday 28 for 3 nights. Total is $179 with taxes. Hotel is brand new. Night as advertised in the hotel's webpage is $199 plus tax. This was a GREAT deal through Priceline. Very happy with the result.
  16. Got this hotel for 1 night stay for a total of $96.00 Bid on a 3 star and got an upgrade for a 3.5*. Really good choice that Priceline did for me. Thanks. I used the PRICELINE link, of course.
  17. Got just this deal for a quick visit for business to Puerto Rico. $90 per night plus $41 in taxes and fees, for a total of $311. Room is already confirmed as i called the hotel and made my special requests prior to arrival. Reviews seem quite nice in Tripadvisor. I will enjoy my visit to Puerto Rico.
  18. Daily rate was $18 for 3 days plus $39 of taxes and fees. I booked the car through PRICELINE
  19. Got a compact car from Avis on the dates above for $93 total price with taxes and fees. Great deal!
  20. Just an update for this reservation. Rate via the hotel's website has dropped to $119 per night, making it a total for this stay of $528. Anyways, i still got a savings of 39%. Priceline really helps save money!
  21. For the second time i get this hotel in Miami, since neither hotel in the Downtown area, MIA airport, Coral Gables or Doral area were accepting my bid. I tried many star levels, went down to 2.5 stars until finally including the Miami West area and got this hotel (3 stars, an upgrade) for 55 per night, for a total of $197. The hotel's website as well as other online travel agencies quote this stay for $427, giving me a total saving of 54%. I first searched via 2 online travel agencies (prices were really expensive for basic 2 star hotels), then went to HOTWIRE and saw that many 2 star hotels were quoting for $79 and many 3 stars for $99+, so i had no option but to book through PRICELINE via this forum's link. I think that this being a Courtyard property, the price is really good, and as i have stayed before with a good experience, i have no regrets. Booked almost 1 month in advance and can't beleive prices were so high. The hotel itself is distant from central Miami, but i prefer price vs. distance. Not a BIG deal for me.
  22. I just booked this hotel for my april visit to Miami. Tried to book in South Beach but nothing was coming at this price. I chose the downtown area and got the Courtyard Downtown Miami. Total is $329 for 4 nights. The price i paid is like a 65% discount versus the actual rate for the hotel's webpage, which comes to a whopping $985.00 for this stay. I am happy with the selection Priceline did for me and i must say that i booked this hotel via the forum's PRICELINE link. Thanks!
  23. I got this hotel for my next stay in Miami for 3 nights. Bid many many times without success for a 3 star-plus hotel. Checked prices on Expedia and Orbitz and rates were really high for these dates. I had no option but to lower the hotel category i wanted to stay for the price i named. Lucky me that i got the Candlewood Suites in the MIA Airport/Doral area. Reviews on Tripadvisor seem quite fair and pictures depict really nice premises and bedding. Total for 3 nights is $148. Already called the hotel to confirm my reservation and made my special requests. Thanks to Priceline i got this amazing deal and of course i used the PRICELINE link!
  24. Got the Millenium Biltmore Hotel. Not my favorite choice in the downtown area but still a good pick via PRICELINE. Total for 4 nights came up to $284. Still a good deal for this area in LA. Used the PRICELINE link on this website.
  25. Bid on the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf area. $65 per night for 5 nights. Got the Sharaton. Total with taxes came up to $387. Not bad at all. Reviews says the hotel is newly renovated with a whole fresh new look. I am happy with my choice!!
