Yes, I did use the PRICELINE link from this board for my purchase. Thanks!
rejected at $45, then accepted at $49. AAA rate is $98 for the same date.
I won the same hotel on a different date previously; in both cases, the hotel's priceline rate seems to be 50% off its AAA rate.
2 people; we don't have a car.
thereuare,
Thanks for offering help! Do you know the best way to get to the hotel from EWR using public transporation? I got an email saying rail service to Newark Airport will be suspended during my visit.
No 4* Boston Airport hotel shown in Priceline.Express Deal for 7/4-7/5; Hot.wire show a 4* at $182.
I tried to bid for a 4* up to $142, with no luck. Hilton's rate on its own website is $189, and Hyatt is sold out.
Do you think there are any 4* hotels in Price.line's inventory at all? Thanks!
I believe I'm looking at the same hotel:

According to its website, parking at Courtyard Boston Logan Airport is free.
I had a cancellable booking with the same hotel for $153.
Saw a 2.5* hotel in Northampton - Amherst - Hadley area on Hotwire for $89 with the following amenities and guessed it might have been the Clarion:
Free Parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Tennis Nearby, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower
Started Priceline bidding (of course, I used the link from this website) at $72, but failed. Then increased my bid to $77, and got Clarion as expected! Hope this info can help others.
You're right. It's indeed The Westin Jersey City Newport. Thanks a lot for the help! I used the HOTWIRE link from this site and got it for $88. The AAA rate from hotel's website for the same date is $220. Thanks again!
Aaron,
Thanks for the fast reply!

10 day one way rental. First bid.
failed at $48, and accepted at $50.
failed at $74 and won at $75.
Looking at Priceline's vacation packages in Melbourne, it looks like there are still other miscategorized 4* hotels (mostly from the Mercure chain):
- The Crossley Hotel
- Mercure Hotel Melbourne
- The Swanston Hotel Melbourne
So probably not a good idea to rebid for a 4* in Melbourne now.
I was bidding for a 4* hotel in Melbourne, Australia; failed at $88; then got Mercure Welcome Melbourne @ $91.
I was shocked and disappointed. Although this hotel was shown as 4* on Priceline, all other websites such as Travelocity, Expedia, Hotels.com, travel.yahoo.com, sidestep, bookit, tripadvisor, etc. say it is 3-3.5 star; even the hotel's own website say it's a 3.5 star. So I called PRICELINE and asked for a refund; the first representative refused to make any corrections to the matter, but a second representative agreed to look into the issue.
Several days later, I noticed that Mercure Welcome was reduced to 3* from 4* at priceline's website, so I called PRICELINE again and got a full refund.
Hope my experience can help someone.
started from $35. won at $44.
Congratulations!
I've been unsuccessful bidding for 5* on Strip for 7/26 & 7/27. It looks like 7/27 is the problem.
Hope you enjoy your stay.
Last failed bid $72, then got Hyatt Regency at $75. Cheapest rate on hotel's website is $159.
Thanks for the help. I'm going to book a cancellable backup from Venetian's website ($139 Thu $219 Fri) for now, and try to see if I can get a better rate from PriceLine later.
Last failed bid was $159. Got a counter offer at $174 but didn't accept. Hotel's website shows package rate $194 per day including some coupons for dining, spa, museum, gaming, etc.
Any idea if priceline will drop the price later on? Thanks!
We stayed at the hotel on Sunday. Hotel's bill shows that Priceline paid $45 for the room.
Last minute bid for Memorial Day weekend; failed at $44 and won at $47.

I'm going to rent a car from EWR and drive to Springfield, MA. Is there any way to figure out if I'm going to hit any cashless e-toll roads on the way? Thanks!
