  1. I believe I'm looking at the same hotel:

Any idea which hotel might be?  Thanks!

  2. I had a cancellable booking with the same hotel for $153.

Saw a 2.5* hotel in Northampton - Amherst - Hadley area on Hotwire for $89 with the following amenities and guessed it might have been the Clarion:

Free Parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Tennis Nearby, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower

Started Priceline bidding (of course, I used the link from this website) at $72, but failed.  Then increased my bid to $77, and got Clarion as expected!  Hope this info can help others.

  3. Aaron,

    Thanks for the fast reply!

Following the steps you suggested, I see a 4* Jersey City hotel for $90, with the following:

Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Tennis Nearby, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower

Do you think it is the same one?

  4. I was bidding for a 4* hotel in Melbourne, Australia; failed at $88; then got Mercure Welcome Melbourne @ $91.

I was shocked and disappointed. Although this hotel was shown as 4* on Priceline, all other websites such as Travelocity, Expedia, Hotels.com, travel.yahoo.com, sidestep, bookit, tripadvisor, etc. say it is 3-3.5 star; even the hotel's own website say it's a 3.5 star. So I called PRICELINE and asked for a refund; the first representative refused to make any corrections to the matter, but a second representative agreed to look into the issue.

Several days later, I noticed that Mercure Welcome was reduced to 3* from 4* at priceline's website, so I called PRICELINE again and got a full refund.

Hope my experience can help someone.
