Both of these hotels are still being offered for the two weekends that I chose. I am ready to make a decision based on what hotel I can get.

The dates for Rhode Island is for the weekend of December 4-6th. The other weekend I was looking at (dates aren't set in stone yet) was Nov 20-22nd and there is a 3 1/2 * with the same amenities without the boutique feature which I think is the Viking. But with the addition of the "B" for boutique, I'm not sure if it's the same hotel or not. Thanks.

I want to stay in Newport for a weekend in December and found this 3 1/2 * = Boutique, near beach, non-smoking, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, and laundry facility. It also says tennis and golf nearby. Any idea of what hotel that is, I was thinking the viking - but I was thrown off by the Boutique status.

Looking for a car rental in kauai 9/20-9/23 in cheapest available class, with hopefully an upgrade to convertible class. I have read other users getting economy through PL for $9-18. I have tried everyday in $1 increments in every class. Any suggestions? I am getting a rate of $20/day through car rental checker. Is it worth booking that and upgrading? I have seen a lot of posts saying it is $9/day to upgrade. Does that mean at the counter or at the time of checkout when you purchase online? Thanks.

On car rental checker best rate for economy is $30 and hotwire is $28 for Maui. I just don't understand...other people are getting these rates through priceline for convertibles! Ideally, I would like to pay half of these rates for a mid-size, as I have read others have.

I have tried PRICELINE through the forum's links multiple times for the past week. I am looking for car rentals on Maui 9/16-9/20 economy and Kauai 9/20-9/23 economy and have bid from $9-18 with no results. I have tried every car category at a multitude of prices. I have tried convertibles on both islands for up to $30 with no bites. I see others have gotten cars in these price ranges, what am I doing wrong? Is there a specific time of day that yields the lowest prices? I have noticed many of the best deals are in the early hours of the morning. Please help! :)
