  1. I have to agree that this is in no way a 4* Hotel. It is a former Holiday Inn, and although there is a hipper decor, its not a 4*. I actually will not bid this zone (Palm Springs - Cathedral City) anymore because I am afraid of getting this property. You may want to just bid the Rancho Mirage Indian Wells zone for future stays. The 4* properties in that area are truly 4*.
  2. Used the PRICELINE link this time. :) Bid $55.00 4.5 Star - rejected Added 4.0 Star Bid $55 - rejected Added Indio zone - Bid $60- accepted.
  3. Offer Price: $100.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $100.00 Taxes & Fees: $19.67 Total Charged to Card: $119.67 San Juan Water And Beach Club Hotel San Juan 2 Tartak Street , Isla Verde, PR 00979 787-728-3666
  4. Was hoping to get this hotel. Almost jumped on an offer the hotel had direct for $163.00 per night, but took a chance, and got the Grand Cypress. Thank you Better bidding for having such a wonderful site! Room Subtotal: $90.00 Taxes & Fees: $19.83 Total : $109.83
  5. Strange...Dates are 10/15/2011-10/16/2011 but lists both Near beach and oceanfront under amenities??? 4-star Hotel in San Juan This Hotel features the following amenities: Near Beach Oceanfront Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Would appreciate your help. :)
  6. I first bid Resort category only and bid $60 in hopes of the Grand Champions as has worked in the past, rebid resort for $65 adding new zone with no luck, and then finally $70 adding final new zone utilizing the rebid options under the resort category. When none were available, I lowered my bid to $60.00 and added the 3* level. I thought I would have recieved the Hyatt Suites or Wyndham as I have in the past. The Holiday Inn in dowtown Palm Springs is definitely new to PRICELINE. This is my first disappointment in years of using Priceline. By the way ThereUAre, also please add Doral Desert Princess Resort under the 3* to the list. Stayed there one night last weekend with a Priceline bid of $80.00. I did not report it since I thought it was a total fluke, and the place was empty. I must say that it was a very nice place, but note that there is a resort fee of $15.00 per night. Properties are totally changing with PRICELINE from what they used to be in the Palm Springs area. :) Hope this helps users of betterbidding! Thanks!
  7. :) A little disappointed with what Priceline gave me when the regular price is $71.00 per night on holiday-inn.com, I am sure we all can agree that an $11.00 savings from the regular price is much to be desired. I will report back on the stay. Holiday Inn Palm Springs Palm Springs Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $60.00 Subtotal: $120.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $22.22 Total Charges*: $142.22 *Prices are in US dollars.

  11. Had a reservation through Hyatt for same hotel and dates for $189.00 per night. Decided to cancel it and give priceline a try. Very pleased....thanks better bidding, I just saved $267.00! Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $300.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $48.71 Total Charges: $348.71
  12. 1 room(s) @ $70.00 per night x 1 night(s) $70.00 Taxes and fees: $16.95 Hotel Subtotal $86.95 Total Price $86.95
  13. Great info and nice history of the property. Thanks for posting this.
  14. Best advice: Do not stay here. Moldy bathtub, ripped up comforter on bed, sheets covered in cigarette burn holes, broken night lights. We were so disgusted with this hotel, we contacted Howard Johnsons corporate offices and told them how bad it was. They told us it is a franchise location, and we are waiting to hear back as to how they may compensate us.
  15. I agree, this probably is too high a star rating. I expected the Courtyard. Oh well, maybe it will be nice. The only thing that justifies the stay is that it is over the Memorial Weekend and it is right on Palm Canyon in the heart of Downtown. I will post my findings.
  16. Hotwire bid for $66.00 per night....Got Howard Johnsons. Selected amenities include: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool(s), Tennis Nearby
  17. Your welcome. I just checked the website again, and was shocked to see the rate has jumped up to $106.00 per night for the same hotel. You are right when you say to jump on it when the price looks good. That changed in 48 hours and increased $23.00 per night. WOW! Thanks.
  18. It was on Hotwire as follows for the Sheraton: Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Tennis Nearby, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service)
  19. FYI Just got it! Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel & Casino Date: Dec 3, 2005 1 room(s) @ $83.00 per night x 1 night(s) $83.00 Taxes and fees: $15.95 Hotel Subtotal $98.95
  20. Your Offer Price: $42.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $42.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.03 Total Charges: $54.03
  21. This was the toughest bid I have ever had on priceline to get. Bid Resort, Palm Springs Zone $70.00 rejected, added Other Vicinity Zone $75.00 rejected, went 4 * went $80.00 rejected, went 3* $85.00 accepted. This high season makes it very difficult to get a room in Palm Springs. Was surprised I got the Riviera Resort since I have not seen a posting for that hotel before. Dates are March 9-11, 2005. Spring Break Time. :)
  22. Your Offer Price: $65.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $195.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $30.62 Total Charges: $225.62 It was a lot of work for the dates we needed, but we got what we wanted! Thanks Better Bidding. :)
  23. Your Offer Price: $50.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $50.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.04 Total Charges: $62.04 :)
  24. We decided not to pay the additional $11.00 for the king size bed. We have stayed at 3* or better only in the past, which I think makes a big difference in the service you are offered because of the class of hotels in 3* AND BETTER. This was the first inn we received from priceline, but the lesson we learned is 3*, OR 4* OR RESORT ONLY. Thanks for your imput. Maybe we will call ahead as soon as we get the confirmation from now on. :)
  25. 2 * La Quinta Inn 1/2/04- Vista, CA ( Escondido Area) Your Offer Price: $40.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $40.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $10.79 Total Charges: $50.79 They were not willing to give us a king size bed when we arrived at the hotel unless we paid them an additional $11.00. This is the first bad experience we have had using Priceline. We have never been required to pay additional once arriving at any priceline bid hotel for a king size bed. :)
