  1. Only hotel in the area that met the description - pretty good deal, unusual in that HOTWIRE was much lower than PRICELINE EXPRESS. Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly
  2. Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Children's activities This hotel has [as is typical of most older hotels] pretty small rooms, so ended up having to get another room for a 3rd person. Hotwire fees are much higher than Priceline - you'll notice they never break down "taxes and fees" to show you how much is actual taxes and how much Hotwire/Expedia are just adding on. When adding on another room from the original reservation, there's no option to add a coupon either.
  3. About $50 saving a night after taxes/fees All suite 95% recommended Amazing! (47 reviews) Tripadvisor 4.5 244 reviews Complimentary Free breakfastFree InternetFree parking Amenities Boutique hotelFitness centerIndoor pool(s)Pet friendlyPool(s)Smoke-free rooms
  4. Hotel amenities Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby 95% rating Good rate for that property for that night.
  5. Amenities Business centerFitness centerIndoor pool(s)Pool(s)Restaurant(s)Self-service laundrySmoke-free rooms Tripadvisor: 4 out of 5 (2170 reviews) As it predicted - got it. The problem always is because Hotwire fees are so high, it doesn't turn out to be that great of a savings vs booking direct.
  6. As soon as I booked it, I went back to look and they jacked it another $10/night. Typical of how Hotwire screws around with you, so if you have some time before travel, wait and see what it tells you from different browsers. It indicated "last person got the Hyatt" Amenities Business centerFitness centerGolf nearbyPet friendlyPool(s)Restaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms 95% recommended Amazing! (70 reviews) (928 reviews
  7. At first Priceline Express was cheaper, but then they said they didn't have inventory when I tried to click thru the lowest level. Hotwire, with the $10 off coupon was then slightly cheaper. The problem is that the next morning the price had gone down by $15, but no one at Hotwire [extremely difficult to get a person at] would help. It's not saving that much now over booking direct - and a lot more hassle and treated worse by the hotel. This is the continuing issue with both Priceline & Hotwire: because they don't show the total with all their fees, you can't easily compare prices to outside/direct sources, and by the time you get locked in you discover it's not such a great deal after all, and you usually have far fewer choices over room/bed type. Here are the ammenities listed: Free Internet, Near beach, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
  8. Hotwire often does a bait & switch - after you click on the listing, and it comes back with the full page booking - and says "the last person got____" don't believe them. Just as often as not, you don't get that hotel. in this case it said last person got Kimpton Monaco, but the bed choice didn't match - which should have been a clue. Also - the Tripadvisor rating doesn't match as they must be referring to the previous Westin - which has been refurbished and is now the Dossier. Probably as good of a deal as the Kimpton, but not what I expected despite a lot of research. Terrible to see "resort fees" - in this case $20/night - come to even places like Portland. Just ridiculous! You have to watch how much the total is with all the fees to compare booking direct. In this case, still a better rate via Hotwire, but enough to make it a great deal. 90% recommended Favorite! 9. PRICELINE EXPRESS didn't show any 5* in Lima. HOTWIRE changed the price from $195 to $197 once I clicked thru. Direct rate showed $326 Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby
  10. It appeared that HOTWIRE had the same property at a higher rate [as usual] so booked via PRICELINE EXPRESS using the 5% off code as PE offered a bed choice and bidding on PRICELINE wouldn't. On the technical side, 1 room went thru ok, the 2nd never was in the hotel's system despite a confirmation number etc. Took a number of calls between Priceline and hotel to resolve. PRICELINE EXPRESS listed as rated 9 out of 10, amenities: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  11. Was listed with PRICELINE EXPRESS for $124, due to 5% off BetterBidding coupon underbid by $10 and got it. Very nice property, good discount Rating 9 out of 10: Business Center Non Smoking Pets Allowed Restaurant Swimming Pool
  12. Tried bidding 75 at Priceline but was rejected. Didn't make any sense to go higher with 5% off coupon for PE. Not much savings after fees vs direct booking with AAA or senior discount. Rated 8 our of 10: Pets Allowed Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center
  13. Incredible difficult completing this booking - don't know what the issue was but it took 7 tries before it actually confirmed, previously just saying "Error." Hotwire "customer service" makes a mockery of that title - they are absolutely worthless and won't do anything to assist even once you've run the gauntlet to actually get a person on the phone without having a completed reservation. Property is great, and was expected as the only one that could fit the description - savings aren't anywhere near what are claimed as when booking direct it's probably $60 more/night. Like most resorts these days, the fees/taxes are staggering and I think all these sites should include them instead of just displaying the base rate. Here's the amenities: Free InternetFree parking Amenities Business centerFitness centerPet friendlyPool(s)Restaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms
  14. Saw 4* on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $131. Bid $135 for 4.5* - rejected - rebid $121 including 4* and got it.
  15. There are 2 Holiday Inns listed as OKC Airport - this is the north location 4401 Southwest 15th, Oklahoma City, OK Originally bid $65 for 3.5*, then lowered bid to $55 to include 3* [PE had it at $59]. Keep in mind their shuttle [unlike most others] doesn't start until 5am in case you have an early flight. 4401 Southwest 15th, Oklahoma City, OK Top Amenities Free Internet In Room Indoor Pool Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant Non-smoking Rooms Free parking Airport Shuttle (Free)
  16. Originally bid $70 for 3.5* at PL, rejected, added 3* reject, added Salem-Beverly for $72, reject, went back to PRICELINE EXPRESS and got what I knew would be Holiday Inn Peabody - regular king room $79 [minus 5% bb PRICELINE EXPRESS link] $89 for kitchenette, $96 for King Suite. Total was $432 including fees vs $503 prepaid direct - so not a big savings. Rating 7 out of 10 Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  17. PRICELINE EXPRESS had it for $68 - hotel is undergoing renovations, but still a good deal: Rating 7 out of 10: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities .
  18. Good price for the property/location. Once clicked thru, it indicated last person got this property so confidence was high. Total $93.11 including "resort fee" Free breakfast, Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Business center, Internet access
  19. Saw PE had it for $54, bid $50 and got it: Free Parking Business Center Airport Shuttle Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  20. PRICELINE EXPRESS had it for $64, so I bid $59 and got it. Amenities: Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  21. PRICELINE EXPRESS listed it as $189, bid $181 and accepted at Priceline. Showed 8 out of 10 rating. Will add amenities later. Lowest price listed at other sites $431
  22. Ammenities: Free parking, Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Spa services 9.5 rating out of 10. Base rate was $113, king guarantee took it to 133, when in fact the hotel charges the same for 2 queens as 1 king. Hotel direct was $179, but with lower fees of course. If the hotel hadn't been predicted, and almost guaranteed by spa services & tripadvisor reviews, it wouldn't have been much of a deal as there are other offers direct.
  23. Since HOTWIRE charges more fees than PRICELINE, it helped to use the $25 off coupon: Amenities Airport shuttleBusiness centerFitness centerGolf nearbyInternet accessPet friendlyPool(s)Restaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms
  24. Was listed in PE at $93 with 7 out of 10 rating: Pets Allowed Free Parking Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Bid $88 at Priceline, rejected, came back saying I could rebid for $102 [why would I when PE was at 93??] - rebid at $90 by adding Tempe North [knowing all their 3.5* were a lot more], and got it.
